Abstract:
An exhaust pipe includes a base material, a surface coating layer, and an information display. The base material is made of a metal. The surface coating layer is provided on a surface of the base material. The surface coating layer includes an amorphous inorganic material. The information display includes a character portion and a background portion. At least one of the character portion and the background portion is located in the surface coating layer.
Abstract:
In an aspect, in general, a pipe connection with readable compression marker is provided with a fitting to which a pipe end can be connected, a pipe with an end connectable to fitting and a pressing area in which a pressing force can be applied onto fitting and/or pipe end to connect pipe end to fitting. The pressing area has a compression marker material and/or element, whose magnetic and/or electrical properties change when pressing area is subjected to the pressing force. A magnetic and/or electrical property of compression marker material and/or element is detectable in a non-contacting manner.
Abstract:
A device and a method for attaching an ID marker to a cylindrical object further characterized by that said marker is placed into a fitting, said fitting has a cylindrical shape, said fitting fits around said cylindrical object.
Abstract:
A hose which automatically expands longitudinally and automatically expands laterally upon the application of a fluid pressure is disclosed. The hose can automatically expand longitudinally up to six times its unexpanded or contracted length. Upon release of the fluid pressure within the hose, the hose will automatically contract to a contracted condition. The hose includes an inner tube made from an elastic material and an outer tube made from a non-elastic material. The inner tube is positioned concentrically within the outer tube in both a contracted condition and an expanded condition. The outer tube is secured to the inner tube only at a first end of the inner and outer tubes and at a second end of the inner and outer tubes. The outer tube moves laterally and longitudinally with respect to the inner tube when the tubes are transitioning between a contracted condition and an expanded condition.
Abstract:
A hose for transporting fluids in which a plurality of carcass layers 5, 7, and 9 is disposed between an inner surface rubber layer 4 and a cover rubber layer 10, and a visible design 3, continuous in a hose axial direction, is provided on an outer surface of the cover rubber layer 10. The hose for transporting fluids includes a sliding-surface layer 11 that is embedded at least partially in the hose axial direction in the cover rubber layer 10 and that is non-adhesive with respect to the cover rubber layer 10, and a constraining layer 12 that is embedded so as to be wound partially in a hose circumferential direction on an outer side of the sliding-surface layer 11 and that is adhesive with respect to the cover rubber layer 10.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a flexible hose that has an outer jacket which includes a continuous layer and a plurality of protrusions connected to and extending radially outward from the continuous layer. The protrusions are in spaced relation to one another and extend along a longitudinal axis of the hose. The continuous layer has a first color and at least one of the plurality of protrusions has a second color that is different from the first color. When one of the at least one protrusions is abraded, the first color of the continuous layer is revealed in an area below the abraded protrusion, indicating that the continuous layer is susceptible to potentially damaging wear.
Abstract:
A overmold fitting is coupled to a fluid conduit. The overmold fitting may include a first portion and a spaced apart second portion proximate a first end of the fluid conduit. The first portion may be an end ring and the second portion may be a retention ring. The overmold fitting may include a visual indicator to provide an indication of the fluid to be used with the fluid conduit.
Abstract:
Metallic tube, pipe and conduit are made in a continuous process that includes a zinc galvanization stage, a first passivation stage, a second passivation stage and a third passivation stage. A colorant is added to the tube, pipe or conduit during the continuous manufacturing process, and the colorant imparts the appearance of a color, such as red. The continuous movement of the tube, pipe or conduit is not halted during normal operation of the tube, pipe or conduit manufacturing and coloring process.
Abstract:
A coupling unit having at least one tubular section; a casing; at least one detent ring, which is arranged radially between the casing and the at least one tubular section when the at least one tubular section, is inserted in the casing, wherein the at least one detent ring, the casing, and the at least one tubular section are configured to adapt to one another such that the tubular section is inserted axially into the casing in a first relative rotational position of the tubular section and the casing, wherein the tubular section is secured by the detent ring against axial withdrawal, the casing and tubular section can be rotated relative to one another, and wherein for decoupling purposes, the tubular section can be withdrawn axially from the casing in a second relative rotational position of the casing and the tubular section that differs from the first rotational position.
Abstract:
A pipe plug provides a water-tight seal and expedites locating of non-metallic pipes. The pipe plug includes a hollow body member adapted for being received by an associated piping member of a variety of inner dimensions, and for being engaged with it. The hollow body member includes a tapered portion with tapered threads on its exterior surface and a seal member made of a resilient material. The seal member envelopes the tapered portion of the body and is capable of moving along the exterior surface of the body in a direction generally orthogonal to the direction of the threads, providing thereupon a leak-safe seal. The body is provided with and engaged with a cap portion that includes a metal plate on its top surface, thus adapted for being located with a metal detector.
