Disclosed is a fireplace apparatus having a remote automatic control function. The fireplace apparatus is capable of automatically controlling opening and closing of an air supply passage mounted below a combustion chamber corresponding to a detected temperature of the fireplace, displaying information related to an ignition state, a key selection state, a heating power setting state and key buttons for key selection, preventing foreign materials from being adhered to an electric heating member by a cover, and enabling a user to carry out remote ignition control, air amount control and temperature setting at a remote location. Accordingly, initial ignition can be stably achieved and the air supply amount is automatically controlled corresponding to the temperature of the combustion chamber. A user can achieve remote ignition or ignition reservation, and ignition and combustion are carried out at an optimum time according to the indoor temperature and time for returning home.

A controlled device generates an authentication random number. A control device accepts input of a random number from an input device. The controlled device verifies if the displayed authentication random number and the random number transferred from the control device are identical to transfer a public key of the controlled device to the control device. The controlled device generates a token. The control device encrypts the token with the public key of the controlled device. The controlled device decrypts the token and verifies if the token transferred from the control device and the generated token are identical to generate a session key. The control device stores the session key into the storage device. The control device controlling the controlled device by encrypted communication using the session key.

A terminal apparatus and a method for controlling a terminal apparatus includes a sensor for collecting user data in real time; a processor for determining whether the user data satisfies a preset control condition, and generating a control instruction if it satisfies the preset control condition, wherein, the control instruction instructs a second terminal apparatus to execute a target operation; and a transmitter transmitting the control instruction to the second terminal apparatus by using a communication link with the second terminal apparatus, so as to facilitate the second terminal apparatus to be able to execute the target operation according to the control instruction. The terminal apparatus and the method for controlling terminal apparatus can make another terminal apparatus to satisfy current requirement of a user by controlling another terminal apparatus by the terminal apparatus without an instruction issued by the user.

The control method may include receiving, from the at least one sensor, first information comprising at least one of bioinformation, disaster prevention information, and public information, transmitting the first information to the service server when the first information meets a first standard, or processing the first information in a data format of the first standard and transmitting the processed first information to the service server when the first information does not meet the first standard, receiving, from the service server, a control command to control the at least one sensor, and transmitting the control command to a sensor corresponding to the control command.

When the add room button is selected, a room addition screen with a list of room candidates is displayed. When any of the rooms is selected from the room candidates, a room icon for the selected room is added to the floor plan setting screen. As a result of repeating this process, the room icons are disposed in the floor plan setting screen.

A site controller adapted to be used in an automated monitoring system for monitoring and controlling a plurality of remote devices via a host computer connected to a first communication network is provided. The site controller is configured for controlling communication with the host computer and a plurality of communication devices that define a second communication network associated with the plurality of remote devices. Briefly described, in one embodiment, the site controller comprises a transceiver configured to communicate with the plurality of communication devices via the second communication network; a network interface device configured to communicate with the host computer via the first communication network; and logic configured to: manage communication with each of the plurality of communication devices, via a first communication protocol, based on one or more communication paths for each of the plurality of communication devices, each communication path comprising one or more communication devices involved in the communication link between the transceiver and each of the plurality of communication devices; and manage communication with the host computer via a second communication protocol. An Optimized Streetlight Operation (OSLO) system that utilizes a cellular network overlay to broadcast control commands issued by a centralized Streetlight Operation Center (SOC) to RF control modules mounted on each streetlight pole. The cellular network may be a CDMA network utilizing Short Message Service-Broadcast (SMS-B) messaging. When a Mobile Telephone Exchange/Mobile Switching Center (MTX/MSC) receives a SOC control command from the SOC, the MTX/MSC causes a plurality of BSs to broadcast the SOC command in the network operating area a defined number of times. Each RF control module that successfully receives the broadcast SOC control command, performs actions to control operation of the module's associated streetlight, and transmits a confirmation message to the module's serving BS indicating the SOC command was received. The modules are configured to stagger transmission of the confirmation messages over a period of time to reduce a peak load imposed on the cellular network.

A Wi-Fi/radio frequency (RF) converting device includes a Wi-Fi transceiver, a multiplexing converting module, and a RF transceiver. The Wi-Fi transceiver receives a Wi-Fi control signal from a control signal generator.
