Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wedge type golf club head having enhanced performance characteristics such as improved backspin, ball speed and launch angle. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the wedge type golf club head 200 having a lower center of gravity, where the center of gravity is located substantially behind the impact surface and substantially along a neutral axis behind the impact surface. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club and golf ball combination that maximizes the distance of travel when the golf club strikes the golf ball, more specifically, a golf club and golf ball combination that generates a higher launch angle combined with the lower spin rate to maximize the distance. SOLUTION: The golf club may generally have a lower center of gravity, a higher loft angle, or may even have a coating on the club face that optimizes the coefficient of friction between the golf club and the golf ball. The golf ball may generally have a ratio of the coefficient of lift (CL) near the beginning of flight to the coefficient of lift near the end of the flight within a range that maximizes flight distance, with similar ratios in appropriate ranges for the coefficient of drag (CD) and the lift-to-drag ratio (CL/CD). Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball satisfying predetermined performance criteria by combining the materials of a core and layers and the structure of the ball. SOLUTION: A golf ball includes a core and a cover adjacently disposed to the core. The cover includes a thermoplastic inner cover layer having a hardness between 55 and 60 Shore D; an outer cover layer having a hardness between 55 and 60 Shore D; and a non-ionomeric thermoplastic polyurethane or polyurea intermediate cover layer disposed between the inner and outer cover layers. The intermediate cover layer has a hardness greater than the inner cover layer hardness and the outer cover layer hardness. The inner cover layer is formed from a partially- or fully-neutralized ionomer and the outer cover layer is formed from a polyurethane, a polyurea, or a urethane-urea blend. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for golf balls that include modified polyurethane, and golf balls obtained by using the composition. SOLUTION: The golf ball includes a core and a cover, wherein the cover is formed from a composition comprising: a prepolymer comprising the reaction product of an isocyanate-containing component and a first isocyanate-reactive component, wherein the first isocyanate-reactive component comprises a conjugated diene hydrocarbon comprising at least two hydroxy groups; anda curative blend comprising a second isocyanate-reactive component comprising at least two hydroxy groups and at least one free radical initiator, wherein the composition comprises crosslinks between the hydrocarbons. Abstract:
A hollow golf club head with a concave portion is disclosed and claimed. The club head includes a metallic portion and a light weight portion, which may be formed of plastic, composite, or the like. The concave portion allows the club designer to make a club head having very thin portions while still maintaining the requisite structural integrity. Convex bulges may optionally be provided to house weight inserts to enhance the playing characteristics of the golf club.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf glove which achieves one or a plurality of advantages among relaxation of tension, improved concentration, assistance to relax and improvement of patience. SOLUTION: A golf glove which possesses one or more protuberance elements on the inner surface is disclosed. The protuberance elements are arranged so that pressure may be applied to pressure points when the glove is put on. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer golf ball construction which may provide one or more of the following benefits: higher spin on full iron shots and superior overall ball performance properties. SOLUTION: Golf balls consisting of a single-layer core and a two-layer cover are disclosed. The core is formed from a rubber composition. An inner cover is formed from a thermoplastic composition, and an outer cover is formed from a polyurethane or polyurea composition. The surface hardness of the core layer is greater than the material hardness of the inner cover layer and is preferably 80 Shore C or greater. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which may provide one or more of the following benefits: fine-tuning of the ball's spin rate and/or compression and higher resilience. SOLUTION: The golf ball consists of a two-layer core and a cover. The two-layer core consists of a relatively hard center enclosed by a soft outer core layer. The specific gravity of the center and that of the outer core layer are substantially the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
