Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for making amines having a high yield weight percent of linear tetraethylenepentamine (L-TEPA) and hydroxyethyldiethylenetriamine (HEDETA) by condensing an amino compound in the presence of a condensation catalyst selected from a Group IVB metal oxide, a Group VIB metal-containing substance and a promoted condensation catalyst. This invention also relates to an alkyleneamines producers composition rich in L-TEPA and HEDETA.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for making amines having a high yield weight percent of aminoethylethanolamine (AEEA) by condensing an amino compound in the presence of a condensation catalyst selected from a Group IVB metal oxide, a Group VIB metal-containing substance and a promoted condensation catalyst. This invention also relates to an alkyleneamines producers composition rich in AEEA.
Abstract:
Delivery systems containing at least one aminopolysaccharide derivative are provided for the delivery of pharmaceutical or therapeutic actives to a desired topical or mucous membrane site in a subject, and wherein upon delivery, the systems provides a biocompatible, substantive, gas permeable, film from which actives are available at the designated site.
Abstract:
A catalyst useful for selectively converting a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen to a mixture of lower alkanols consisting essentially of a mixture of molybdenum sulfide, an alkali metal compound and a tantalum compound.
Abstract:
Process for the separation and recovery of aldehyde product from a non-aqueous hydroformylation reaction product composition comprising the aldehyde product, a rhodium-ionically charged phosphorus ligand complex, a free ionically charged phosphorus ligand and an organic solubilizing agent for said complex and said free ligand via phase separation using added water or both added water and an added non-polar hydrocarbon compound.
Abstract:
This invention relates to water soluble crayon compositions which are comprised of (i) one or more water soluble block polymers characterized by an ABCBA structure and (ii) a coloring agent, and to crayons produced therefrom. This invention also relates to processes for the production of water soluble crayon compositions and for the manufacture of crayons.
Abstract:
Novel unsaturated polylactones are produced by the reaction of an unsaturated alcohol, such as tetrahydrobenzyl alcohol, with a lactone. Said product may be subsequently epoxidized to form unique polylactone epoxides. Also, the unsaturated polylactones may be derivatized with isocyanates, anhydrides, and carboxylic acids and epoxidized to form useful modified polylactone epoxides. The novel compounds of this invention are useful in coating, ink, adhesive, or sealant formulations, as well as useful as intermediates in the production of other valuable compounds, and in other end uses.
Abstract:
Ethylene homopolymers or copolymers having a very low molecular weight are continuously prepared in a fluidized bed in the presence of high concentrations of hydrogen, while maintaining high catalyst activity, by means of a vanadium-based catalyst.
Abstract:
A vanadium-based catalyst is treated with certain silicon-containing compounds as a means of narrowing and effectively regulating the molecular weight distribution of the polymers produced with the catalyst.
