Abstract:
A solid lubricant for being embedded in pores or grooves formed at a sliding surface of a sliding member body, comprises 5 to 30% by volume of a polyethylene resin, 20 to 60% by volume of a hydrocarbon-based wax and 10 to 60% by volume of melamine cyanurate. Such a solid lubricant can exhibit sliding properties identical to or higher than those of lead-containing solid lubricants, even under high load conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to improved metallurgical powder compositions that incorporate solid lubricants, methods for preparing and using the same, and methods of making compacted parts. Ejection properties, such as stripping pressure and sliding pressure, of compacted parts can be improved by using the solid lubricants. The solid lubricants contain functionalized polyalkylene glycol lubricants that contain a phosphate group, phosphite group, hypophosphate group, hypophosphite group, polyphosphate group, thiophosphate group, dithiophosphate group, thiocarbamate group, dithiocarbamate group, borate group, thiosulfate group, sulfate group, a sulfonate group or combinations thereof.
Abstract:
A sintered copper alloy material product is provided on which a skin (particularly, a skin of a solid lubricant with low adhesion, such as PTFE or molybdenum disulfide) is securely formed on the surface thereof and has good sliding properties and good seizure resistance under unlubricating environments or under corrosive environments. A sintered copper alloy material is processed using a selective chemical etching solution containing a compound of one kind or more selected from the group of consisting of peroxide, peroxocompound, chromic acid and permanganic acid and a compound of one kind or more selected from the group of consisting of phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, zirconic hydrofluoric acid, titanic hydrofluoric acid, titanic acid, molybdic acid, tungstic acid, vanadic acid, niobic acid, and organic chelating agent. Thereafter, a lubricating skin is on the surface of the processed material.
Abstract:
Solid lubricating composition (ski wax), particularly suitable for being applied to the sliding surfaces, or "soles" of skis, sledges and the like, in order to increase their slipperiness, comprising 60-95% of paraffin and/or microcrystalline waxes and 5-40% of a finely subdivided polytetrafluoroethylene powder, with the average granulometry of said polytetrafluoroethylene powder being lower than 8 micron, preferably comprised within the range of from 1 to 5 micron, with the possible addition of electroconductive material powders, suitable for preventing electrostatic charges from forming and accumulating.
Abstract:

The carbon composite comprises carbon and a binder containing one or more of the following: SiO2; Si; B; B2O3; a metal; or an alloy of the metal; and the metal comprises one or more of the following: aluminum; copper; titanium; nickel; tungsten; chromium; iron; manganese; zirconium; hafnium; vanadium; niobium; molybdenum; tin; bismuth; antimony; lead; cadmium; or selenium.
Abstract:
A metal powder composition for making compacted parts, the metal powder composition including (i) sponge iron particles or sponge iron-based particles, and (ii) a lubricant including at least two different fatty acid amides. A process including (i) compacting the metal powder composition, and (ii) sintering the thus obtained compacted metal powder composition to produce a metal product.
