Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure the assured mechanical seal-up degree and the electric shielding and thus stabilize the characteristics as well as increase the mass productivity, by connecting plural units of independent resonators featuring the same measurement via the cable of 1/4 wavelength of the resonance frequency. CONSTITUTION:Coaxial resonators 8, 9 and 10, which are shielded electrically excepting the cable connection part and also sealed up mechanically, are connected with cables 2 and 3 featuring the length of 1/4 wavelength of the resonance frequency and via capacity elements 5, 6 and 7 each. The device thus constituted is provided at both the transmission and reception sides each to be connected to the antenna at the side of terminal 11 along with the side of terminal 12 connected to the transmission and reception terminals each.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a band-pass filter in which transmission characteristics can be improved in a required signal band at a low cost while sustaining required out-band attenuation characteristics without increasing the overall dimensions, and to provide the band-pass filter. SOLUTION: In the band-pass filter 1 comprising a plurality of resonators 3, distribution of the no-load Q value of each resonator 3 is set depending on the relative electric field strength thereof. More specifically, in a six stage elliptic function filter, amplitude deviation in the band is minimized when the no-load Q value of a first resonator 3 1 and a sixth resonator 3 6 is set at 3,000, and the no-load Q value of a third resonator 3 3 and a fourth resonator 3 4 is set at 7,000.
