Abstract:
The sealing feature of the interior of an enclosure housing an electric double-layer capacitor body is improved. A chemical-resisting and thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet (40) is fusion-deposited over the entire periphery of the joint portion (30-1), with the inner-side surfaces of a positive-side opening (16-3), of a positive-side terminal electrode (30), and a chemical-resisting and thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet (42) is fusion-deposited over the entire periphery of the joint portion (32-1), with the inner-side surfaces of a negative-side opening (16-4), of a negative-side terminal electrode (32). Then, the sheet (40) and the inner-side surfaces of the positive-side opening (16-3) are fusion-deposited over the entire peripheries, and the sheet (42) and the inner-side surfaces of the negative-side opening (16-4) are fusion-deposited over the entire peripheries.

A conductive cushion material having a buffering function for interrupting an electromagnetic wave leaking from the casing of an information apparatus and protecting an electronic component against an impact, and its producing process. The conductive cushion material consists of a fibrous aggregate (3) of thin conductive wires and elastic resin (1) containing a conductive filler, characterized in that the end part of the fibrous aggregate (3) is exposed, at least partially, from the outer surface of the cushion material and the elastic resin (1) has a large number of cavities (2) therein while mixing the conductive filler uniformly.

A nonaqueous electrolyte comprising both an ionic fluid which is represented by the general formula (1) and takes a liquid form at 50°C or below and an ionically conductive polymer. This electrolyte brings about secondary cells and electrical double layer capacitors which are excellent in charge/discharge efficiency, stability, low-temperature characteristics, and so on: (1) wherein R to R are each independently alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or an alkoxyalkyl group represented by the general formula: R'-O- (CH2)n- (wherein R' is methyl or ethyl and n is an integer of 1 to 4), or any two of R to R may form a ring, with the proviso that at least one of R to R is an alkoxyalkyl group described above; X is nitrogen or phosphorus; and Y is a monovalent anion.

An electric double-layer capacitor comprising a pair of polarized electrodes, a separator interposed between these polarized electrodes, and an electrolyte, wherein polarized electrodes used mainly contain active carbon having the peak of the pore diameter distribution of a micro-hole determined by an MP method within 4.0 x 10 to 8.0 x 10 m, and the electrolyte used contains an ionic liquid as an electrolytic salt, whereby providing an electric double-layer capacitor being excellent in low-temperature characteristics and high in electrostatic capacity
