    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a light receiving element or light emitting element package having a fresnel lens unit are provided to manufacture the fresnel lens unit quickly by thermally pressing a metal core in which a ring pattern is formed. CONSTITUTION: A light receiving element or light emitting element is installed on a substrate, the substrate is put in a flat mold, and a thermal curable solid resin is molded on the substrate to form a dam(S1). A resin transmission layer is formed on the substrate by dispensing a thermal curable liquid resin into the dam(S2). A metal core with a ring pattern on the bottom is heated and the heated metal core is pressed on the substrate so that the ring pattern of the metal core is transferred onto the transmission layer and a fresnel lens unit is formed(S3).
