    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for labeling and detecting a target material using metal-coated superparamagnetic nanoparticles is provided to specifically detect environmental hormone and biomass without separate fluorescence microscope. CONSTITUTION: A method for labeling a target material using metal-coated superparamagnetic nanoparticles comprises: a step of conjugating a ferromagnetic substance particles to the target materials; a step of adding superparamagnetic nanoparticles to attach to the ferromagnetic substance. The diameter of the ferromagnetic substance is 5nm to 10 um. The metal is able to cause surface Plasmon resonance in case of irradiating light. The metal is Au or Ag. The superparamagnetic nanoparticles are iron-oxide, iron-cobalt, iron-nickel or transition metal.
