An actuator includes a piezoelectric element (12), and a displacement enlargement mechanism (14) which has a movable portion configured to be displaced as the piezoelectric element is displaced and enlarges an amount of displacement of the piezoelectric element. A restraint member (30) is fixed to the movable portion with an elastic or viscoelastic body (32) therebetween and convert vibrational energy of the movable portion into thermal energy based on deformation of the elastic or viscoelastic body, thereby lowering a resonance peak amplitude of the actuator.

A magnetic sensor element has a hard magnetic film 2 formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 1, an insulating layer 3 covering the top of the hard magnetic film 2, and a soft magnetic film 4 formed on the insulating layer 3. The magnetization direction of the hard magnetic film 2 has an angle θ relative to the longitudinal direction of the soft magnetic film 4. It is preferable that, in plan view when viewing the nonmagnetic substrate 1 from above, the hard magnetic film 2 is broader than the region in which the soft magnetic film 4 is formed, and all of the region in which the soft magnetic film 4 is entirely overlaps with the region in which the hard magnetic film 2 is formed. According to the present invention, a magnetic sensor element for which a constant bias magnetic field is obtained can be provided.

A drill capable of efficiently performing high-quality drilling machining on a material which is hard to be cut such as CFRP and the like is provided. The drill includes a drill body 4 having a shank portion 2 at a rear side of the drill main body and a cutting portion 3 at a front side of the drill main body, a first land A to a fourth land D at the cutting portion 3, a first cutting portion groove 5a to a fourth cutting portion groove 5d provided between the lands of the first land A to the fourth land D, a pilot blade 6 formed at the tip of the cutting portion 3, a diameter-enlarging spiral thread portion 9 having a group of threads of diameter-enlarging spiral threads AK1-DK4 continuously following the pilot blade 6, a finished spiral thread portion 12 having a group of threads of finishing spiral threads AF1-DF5, which have the same height, and continuously following the diameter-enlarging spiral thread portion 9, a diameter-enlarging spiral blade portion 18 having a group of blades of the diameter-enlarging spiral threads AK1-DK4, and a finishing spiral blade portion 19 having a group of blade of the finishing spiral threads AF1-DF5. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sugar solution capable of improving the fermentation efficiency of the sugar solution produced from cellulose-type biomass treated with an ammonia-containing treatment agent, the sugar solution, and a method of producing ethanol.SOLUTION: A method for producing a sugar solution includes: a pretreatment step (step S11) of treating cellulose-type biomass with an ammonia-containing treatment agent to produce an ammonia-treated product; an ammonia-treated sugar solution production step (step S12) of enzymatically saccharifying the ammonia-treated product to produce an ammonia-treated sugar solution; and a purified sugar solution production step (step S13) of purifying and removing coumaramide and/or ferulamide contained in the ammonia-treated sugar solution to produce a purified sugar solution having a coumaramide and/or ferulamide concentration of 10 to 1,100 ppm.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for remarkably increasing γ-aminobutyric acid content in brown rice only by an extremely easy operation without the need of a hydration process (hydration by soaking in water and humidifying air) or a drying process. SOLUTION: The method for producing brown rice increased in γ-aminobutyric acid content includes heating and preserving at 40-150°C, brown rice (or brown rice powder) with 10-17% water content, in a sealable container made of a material having an oxygen permeability of ≤10,000 ml/m 2 /24 hrs/atm (25°C, 100%RH). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin injection structure, capable of maintaining improved characteristics by removing disadvantage that passing polarized spins are disturbed by lattice mismatch and the polarized spins decrease since MgO is not subjected to epitaxial growth on Si, in conventional spin implantation structures. SOLUTION: The spin injection structure includes a channel layer 7 made of Si, a magnetized fixed layer 12B made of a ferromagnetic body formed on the channel layer 7, and a first tunnel barrier 8B interposed between the channel layer 7 and the magnetized fixed layer 12B. Furthermore, the first tunnel barrier 8B includes an amorphous MgO layer positioned in a region at the side of the channel layer 7, and a single-crystal MgO layer positioned, in a region at the side of the magnetized fixed layer 12B. Likewise, a second tunnel barrier 8C includes an amorphous MgO layer, positioned in a region at the side of the channel layer 7 and a single-crystal MgO layer positioned in a region on the side of a magnetized fixed layer 12C. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computerized system that enhances a subject's motivation for his/her attitude in daily life toward taking precautions for the prevention of blood pressure increase or hypertension therapy by verifying relations between blood pressure changes and the onset of cerebral apoplexy, and reduces the onset frequency in people of cerebral apoplexy that exerts serious harms in the public health field. SOLUTION: The system strongly urges the subject to make an effort at improving all risky factors, by the method including steps to input the subject's sex, age, maximum blood pressure value, the items of whether he/she smokes, is fat and has diabetes into a computer, calculate an expected value for cerebral apoplexy onset, compare the result with the standard cerebral apoplexy incidence, indicate a quantitative risk for cerebral apoplexy onset, recalculate and display estimated preventive effects following improvements on the input items.
