Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respirator medical treating apparatus for a vibrating positive expiratory pressure which is suitable for the application together with an aerosol pharmacological agent feeding system for medicament in order to perform a positive expiratory pressure (PEP) medical treatment. SOLUTION: An air flow pipe has an inlet and an outlet for the exhalation which is fed by a user, and includes a closing means which is located in the air flow pipe, and is operated in response to the pressure of the exhalation. The closing means includes a non-linear shape outlet which is opened in response to the existence of a predetermined pressure of the exhalation, is closed when a decrease in the air pressure through the outlet reaches a predetermined ratio, and is normally closed. In addition, the closing means includes a closing means which can be operated in response to the exhalation in the air flow passage in a space between a closed position for stopping the flow of the exhalation and an opened position for making the exhalation flow into the air flow passage. Then, this vibration PEP medical treating system is constituted in such a manner that an atomizer connecting means is installed for connecting an atomizing pipe in order to make a fluid flow into the air flow passage to the user from the inlet. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe catheter device having a simple structure and a low cost, enabling the use of a needle having a standard size and shape, and eliminating the need for a connector and the like.SOLUTION: A safe catheter device is provided in which both or one of: (a) A first projection 240 is engaged with a catheter-hub engaging element 148 at a pull-in position of a needle 14, so that further proximal direction removal of a shaft body 22 of the needle gives force to a housing 204 through an elastic member 16, and the first projection 240 is bent for disengagement to easily separate the housing 204 from a catheter-hub 114 so that, while a distal end part (18) is fixed to a tip holder 202, the tip holder 202 can be separated from the catheter-hub 114; and (b) An elastic member 16 is disposed in the housing 204 at a first axial position.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle guard mechanism for protecting a user and another person from the sharpened tip of a needle after drawn out of a patient.SOLUTION: This invention is a safe catheter device equipped with a catheter hub (220) and a catheter tube (226); a needle hub (208) and a needle (52), a needle guard constituted so as to be capable of transferring the needle over a needle first state wherein the tip of the needle is not protected and a needle second state wherein the tip of the needle is protected, the separable shroud (320) provided in relation to the needle hub and a sheath (370) surrounding at least the catheter tube and the needle tip and positioned with respect to at least a part of the separable shroud.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle guard mechanism for protecting a user and another person from the sharpened tip of a needle after drawn out of a patient.SOLUTION: A clip is equipped with a first wall (16), a second wall (20), the struts (24 and 26) connecting the first and second walls and the heel (34) extending from the first wall. The first wall and the heel are arranged on mutually opposite sides with respect to the struts and, in the first state of the clip, the heel is in contact with a shelf (72) and, when the clip transfers from the first state allowing a needle shaft to pierce to a second state grasping the needle shaft therein, the heel is rotated around the shelf.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is allowed to easily confirm the gauge of a needle to be used without directly seeing it, considering that the needle of a specific gauge might be used in an emergency situation. SOLUTION: To enable a user to readily determine the gauge of the needle of a needle assembly that has a base 4 and a needle protective housing 6 pivotably attached thereto, the needle assembly is injection molded from a color coded molding material which color was preassigned to correspond to the gauge of the needle. As a result, both the base 4 and the protective housing 6 of the needle assembly have the same specific color, and reflect or provide an indication of the given gauge of the needle 12. The needle sheath 26 that covers the needle 12 prior to use may be made of a plastic material that may be clear, or have the same or a different color than that of the needle assembly. The gauge of the needle 12 of a fixed needle syringe could also be ascertained by its color coded needle protective housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present an invention relating to a respiratory apparatus and in particular to the reduction of condensation, or rainout, in the limbs of a respiratory breathing circuit, and more particularly to reduction of rainout in the expiratory limb of such a breathing circuit. SOLUTION: A breathing circuit (21) includes inspiratory and expiratory limbs (22, 24), each having a respective electrically energizable heating circuit (34, 36). The heating circuits (34, 36) are independently and selectively electrically energized through separate power circuits (72, 76) such as to control the temperature in each limb (22, 24) in a desired fashion so as to reduce rainout in the breathing circuit and particularly in the expiratory limb (24) for instance.
