Abstract:
A radiation curable fluid including a vinylether (meth)acrylate monomer; a compound having a sulfonic acid group; and a polymeric dispersant with heterocyclic groups having hetero atoms consisting of one or two nitrogen atoms.
Abstract:
System and method for the digital creation of a print master by means of a liquid droplet deposition apparatus. A relief print master is created by means of a printhead that moves in a slow scan direction. The nozzles of the printhead jet droplets of a polymerisable liquid on a rotating drum. The different nozzles jet droplets simultaneously on different layers that have different diameters. As a result, the droplets jetted by different nozzles travel over a different distances before landing. The effect of this is that the droplets undergo different position lag as they land on the different layers. By rotating the printhead in a plane that comprises the central axis of the rotating drum and a nozzle row this effect can be compensated for.
Abstract:
A photopolymer printing plate precursor comprising in this order a photosensitive coating and a protective coating on a support, wherein said photosensitive coating comprises a composition that is photopolymerizable upon absorption of light, said composition comprising a binder, a polymerizable compound, a radical stabilizer, a sensitizer and a photoinitiator, characterized in that the photoinitiator is a hexaaryl-bisimidazole compound and the protective layer has a dry coating weight from 0.5 to less than 2.0 g/m2 and contains at least one type of poly(vinyl alcohol), having a saponification degree less than 93 mol%, and a poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) in an amount from 0 to 10 parts by weight of the poly(vinyl alcohol), is very stable at high pre-heat temperatures.
