PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-pack water-based one-coat paint composition capable of providing a coating film excellent in appearance, water resistance and chemical resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided the two-pack water-based one-coat paint composition containing an aqueous acrylic resin (A), an aqueous polyester resin (B) and a self emulsifiable isocyanate curing agent (C), the resin (A) has a hydroxyl value of 50 to 150 mgKOH/g, a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 5,000, the resin (B) has an acid value of 20 to 50 mgKOH/g, a hydroxyl value of 50 to 150 mgKOH/g, a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 5,000, a solubility parameter of 8.5 to 9.7, and contains a dimer acid component of 10 to 40 mass% in the total monomer composition, the resin (A) and the resin (B) are contained at such a ratio that the content of the resin (A) is 60 to 95 mass% and the content of the resin (B) is 5 to 40 mass% each with respect to the total resin solid component of the resin (A) and the resin (B), and a ratio between the total of the hydroxyl group contained in the resin (A) and the resin (B) and the isocyanate group contained in the curing agent (C) is isocyanate group/hydroxyl group=0.7 to 1.5.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition not only exhibiting stain proofness in a short time after coating, but also maintaining excellent stain proofness for a long time, and capable of obtaining a coated film which satisfies coating film performance required for a coated steel sheet such as water proofness and folding property.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a coating composition containing a hydroxyl group-containing resin (A), a crosslinking agent (B) which reacts with a hydroxyl group, a radical copolymer (C) and an organosilica sol (D), and the radical copolymer (C) has (a) a monomer composition containing 70.0 to 99.8 mass% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid amide, 0.2 to 10 mass% of a radical-polymerizable organosiloxane and 0 to 29.8 mass% of other radical-polymerizable monomers based on the total mass of the radical-polymerizable monomers, (b) a weight average molecular weight of 1,500 to 15,000 and (c) a hydroxyl value of 10 to 50 mgKOH/g, and the organosilica sol (D) has an average particle size of 1 to 30 nm, a solid content mass ratio represented by {the (C) component+the (D) component}/{the (A) component+the (B) component} of 3 to 30%, and a solid content mass ratio represented by {the (C) component/the (D) component} of 0.2 to 5.0.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component clear coating composition, capable of obtaining excellent coating film appearance, particularly favorable film appearance in a 3C1B system multilayer coating film formation method, capable of obtaining the coating film excellent in water resistance and weatherability, and having a high solid content at coating operation and high storage stability.SOLUTION: A clear coating composition includes as essential components, a hydroxy group-containing polyester resin (A) having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,500-8,000, an acid value of 0-50 mg-KOH/g, a hydroxyl value of 100-180 mg-KOH/g and a glass transition point of -30 to 0°C, and a crosslinking agent (B) reacting with a hydroxy group. The component (A) is the hydroxy group-containing polyester resin obtained by reacting a polybasic acid (a), polyhydric alcohol (b) and at least one ≥6C component (c) selected from the saturated mono-carboxylic acids, saturated mono-alcohols, saturated glycidyl ethers and saturated glycidyl esters. The content ratio of the component (c) is 20-60 mass% based on the total solid content of the components (a) to (c).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium-free paint composition giving a paint film with high corrosion resistance at the edge faces, damaged surfaces and processed parts of a precoated steel plate, and to provide the paint film obtained by coating the composition.SOLUTION: The chromium-free paint composition comprises: (A) a paint film-forming resin; (B) a rust-proofing pigment composed of at least one noncrystalline MgO-VO-based compound; and (C) a crosslinking agent, wherein the mass content of the rust-proofing agent (B) is 10-80 mass% of the total resin solids mass of the paint film-forming resin (A) and the crosslinking agent (C), and the total eluted ion quantity of a 10 mass% aqueous solution of the rust-proofing agent (B) is 10-100 ppm.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film which satisfies performances required for an exterior coating film, such as excellent coating film appearance, water resistance and impact resistance, even when a first base coating material is coated and a second base coating material is coated without performing preliminary drying, and to provide a method for forming a multi-layer coating film.SOLUTION: A method for forming a multi-layer coating film is provided in which an aqueous first base coating material (A) is coated over a cured coating film to form a first base coating film, an aqueous second base coating material (B) is coated over the first base coating film without carrying out preliminary drying to form a second base coating film, preliminary drying is carried out after the second base coating film forming step, a clear coating material (C) is coated over the second base coating film to form a clear coat coating film, and the three coating film layers are heated and cured simultaneously. In the method for forming a multi-layer coating film, the aqueous first base coating material (A) contains a polyurethane resin (A1) and titanium oxide (A2), and the mass content ratio of the titanium oxide (A2) is from 4 to 15 mass% with respect to a resin solid portion, and the solid portion of the aqueous first base coating material (A) is from 40 to 60 mass%.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous base coating material composition in a method for forming a multi-layer coating film by 3C1B (three coat one bake) system, where a coated film, excellent in appearance of the coated film and adhesiveness to the article to be coated, is obtained even preheating is not performed after forming a first base coating film.SOLUTION: This aqueous base coating material composition comprises a core/shell type emulsion resin as a base resin, where the core part is made of an acrylic resin and the shell part is made of a polyurethane resin, and the mass content ratio of the core part and the shell part is 20/80 to 80/20. The acrylic resin has 40-140 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value and 0-10 mgKOH/g acid value. The polyurethane resin has 20-80 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value and 10-60 mgKOH/g acid value; and the total mass content ratio of constitution unit based on dibasic acid and/or dihydric alcohol of 10-60 carbons is 10-50 mass% to solid resin content of the polyurethane resin.
