    Abstract: A tubular pushing member, when released by the trigger of a pistol grip moves forward under the pull of a spring, releases the catch of a sliding carriage which then quickly jabs forward under the pull of another spring to jab the needle of a syringe carried by it through the patient's skin, after which the further progress of the pushing member comes up against the plunger of the syringe, which it engages with an adjustable plunger mounted on a heel bracket of the tubular pushing member. The progress of the actuation of the syringe plunger may be slowed down, interrupted or allowed to accelerate at any stage of the injection by virtue of frictional engagement with the tubular pushing member by a rubber piece mounted on the top edge of the trigger plate and a spring weaker than the trigger spring makes it possible for the braking friction to taper off gradually for better control of the movement of the syringe piston as the trigger is pulled away from the tubular pushing member against the force of the trigger spring.

    Abstract: The doorbell has the drive motor (6) firmly located in a tubular sleeve (2), secured to one side of a base plate (7). The motor shaft carries a rotor (3) and clapper lines (4), offset through 120 deg., moving into a horizontal position by centrifugal force, on the rotor rotation. The clapper motion generates the sound, as the clapper ends strike against sound tubes (5) suspended from the base plate via electrically conductive suspension (11). Simultaneously they provide electrically conductive connection for successive activation of optical display elements (8).

    Abstract: An apparatus for selectively stimulating one or a number of nerve cells in the defective retina of a human eye employs a portable laser source whose beam is projected onto the retina via the natural lens of the eye. The laser unit and system controller can be conveniently carried in a small container at the waist with connections made by coaxial and fibre-optics cables to a prosthetic assembly in the form of conventional spectacles. These incorporate a photosensor array for detecting the wearer's forward environment, a fixed focusing mirror and a beam steering reflector responding to signals from a pupil position sensor which combine to regulate stimulation of the appropriate retinal neurons.

    Abstract: The invention is based on an apparatus for fastening items releasably on a floor supporting them, in particular sports equipment on the floor of sports halls. The apparatus is characterised by a container (16), which is let into the floor and anchored therein, having a closing cover (2) flush with the floor surface (1) and having an anchoring part (8) which is prestressed in the inside of the container (16), can be pulled out of the container (16), after the cover (2) has been removed, against a corresponding return stress, and can be fastened on the item (19).
