Abstract:
Embodiments use holographic projection in augmented reality to visualize a building in 3D and show, as a holographic figure, the position of personnel in the building. In some embodiments, a user can "tap" on a holographic figure to view data on that person, such as skin temperature, room temperature, heart rate, etc.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a computer-implemented methodology for automatically indicating in a computer-aided dispatch system for a plurality of assignable participants, such as emergency vehicles, to be dispatched to one of a plurality of facilities, whether a facility is in a diverting status or a receiving status. A centralized database receives a change in status for a vehicle for use in determining the status of a facility. In response to receiving the change in status for the vehicle, the status information about the vehicle including a current status and a prior status is transmitted to one or more client programs. A client program receives the current status and the prior status of the vehicle and uses the current status and prior status of the vehicle along with a criteria set to determine if any of the plurality of facilities' status should be changed from receiving to diverting or from diverting to receiving.
Abstract:
A method of manipulating a three-dimensional object displays a first view of a three-dimensional object on a touchscreen. The touchscreen has three-dimensional views associated with at least one pre-specified visually undelineated portion of the 10 touchscreen. The method receives a touch input on the touchscreen in a visually undelineated portion, and determines a second view of the three-dimensional object based on the view assigned to the visually undelineated portion that received the touch input. The method displays the second view of the three-dimensional object on the touchscreen.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a high-availability parallel processing server that is a multi-processor computer with a segmented memory architecture. The processors are grouped into processor clusters, with each cluster consisting of up to four processors in a preferred embodiment. Each cluster of processors has dedicated memory buses for communicating with each of the memory segments. The invention is designed to be able to maintain coherent interaction between all processors and memory segments within a preferred embodiment. A preferred embodiment uses Intel Pentium-Pro processors. The present invention comprises a plurality of processor segments (a cluster of one or more CPU's) memory segments (separate regions of memory), and memory communication buses (pathways to communicate with the memory segment). Each processor segment has a dedicated communication bus for interacting with each memory segment, allowing different processors parallel access to different memory segments while working in parallel. The processors, in preferred embodiment, may further include an internal cache and flags associated with the cache to allow multi-processor cache coherency in external write-back cache.
Abstract:
A vacuum drum apparatus on which a mask is mounted having a resilient surface and a plurality of holes suitable for a substrate of a given size. The vacuum drum apparatus is balanced for rotation at high speeds by attaching a counterweight to the mask. The drum is a circular cylinder perforated with an array of holes. The drum has flat surfaces on its outer surface that are used to mount the mask and the substrate on the drum. A hollow chamber within the drum is connected to a controlled pressure source for providing a vacuum. The mask may be magnetically attracted about the outer surface of the drum. Thus, the mask may be made of a flexible ferromagnetic sheet. The mask may also be staged on the drum with other mechanical type entanglements. The mask is preferably elastomeric and may include an inextensible layer.
Abstract:
A scanning system, having a fixed platen and optical imaging system and a translated reference scale, is provided for scanning of a modulated light beam (or a set of parallel, independently modulated light beams) onto an object surface. The optical system provides a combined light beam including the modulated light beam and a reference light beam. An optical imaging device moves the combined light beam along a scan line, and a translatably mounted beam splitter splits the combined light beam to direct at least some of the reference light beam onto a reference scale and a sensor. The reference scale sensor, which is rigidly attached to the beam splitter, and is responsive to reference beam position in two directions, provides a clocking signal indicative of beam position along the scan line and a vernier position signal indicative of beam position in a direction transverse to the scan line. An optical stepper controls the translation of the beam splitter such as to position precisely each of a series of scans in a direction transverse to the scan lines.
Abstract:
A computer communication system promotes collaboration between organizations by enabling secure sharing of information between organizations having separate databases. The system provides a portal generator for creation of one or more portals or channels through which data of each organization can be shared. The portals can be setup for planned or emergency events within a given region, e.g., a municipality, with tasks associated with each event. Users can register to become members of each portal, with membership being assigned automatically or with respect to predetermined criteria. In some embodiments, permissions of each member can be altered to ensure selected access to data within the channel based on the organization with which the member associates. After being registered, members can receive real-time updates on event progress from members within their organization and/or external to their organization.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a virtual dispatch assist system in which various types of Intelligent Agents are deployed (e.g., as part of a new CAD system architecture or as add-ons to existing CAD systems) to analyze vast amounts of historic operational data and provide various types of dispatch assist notifications and recommendations that can be used by a dispatcher or by the CAD system itself (e.g., autonomously) to make dispatch decisions.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, systems, computing devices, computing entities, and/or the like for determining optimized solutions to input problems in a containerized, cloud-based (e.g., serverless) manner using multiple solver types. In one embodiment, an example method involves receiving a problem type of an input problem originating from a client computing entity, mapping the problem type to one or more selected solver types, generating one or more container instances of one or more compute containers with each compute container corresponding to a selected solver type, generating a problem output using the one or more container instances, and providing the problem output to the client computing entity, where the problem output includes an optimized solution to the input problem that can be used to perform one or more prediction-based actions.
