Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit voice, data and video signals by forming a structure to concentrate contact force on bumps formed on multiple elastic spring parts extending from the cylindrical outside surface to the inside of a contact member that is arranged in a bore penetrating an insulating member arranged in a passage from the engaging end to the fixing end of a housing and has a coaxial conductor receiving engagement end. SOLUTION: A female contact member 30 arranged in a bore 21 of an insulating member 20 in a passage 31 of a cylindrical housing 18 having an engagement end 26 and a rear end 27 is engaged with a coaxial conductor of a male connector, and its terminal part 56 is connected to a contact tail member 60. A base housing 22 to be engaged with the rear end 27 has a base insulator member 24 in a an orthogonal passage 32, and its leg parts 34 are fixed on a circuit board. The contact is secured by arranging a pair of protruding bumps at a bow-shaped tip of two double-bellows-shaped spring parts 42 extending inward from an outside cylindrical surface 38 opposite to the front engagement end 40 of the contact member 30. This connector has low signal loss even for a broadband and can be engaged with coaxial conductors having a variety of thicknesses.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a new connector to be set in the same way as a former connector in the case of replacement by compression engaging a leg with each opening wall at an angle different from that of another leg corner when the connector is set to another member. SOLUTION: A connector main body 20 includes four mounting legs 66-69 to be press fitted in openings 70 of a circuit board 18 for mounting and retaining a socket on the board 18. The leg 66-69 has a square section and a uniform size. The size crossing the diagonal line is even and is slightly larger than the inner dia. of the opening 70. To pressure fit each leg 66-69 into each opening 70 is performed without pressing it against and along the wall of the opening 70. When a connector is removed, mounting of another connector having the same leg pattern in the openings 70 becomes unstable because it is set in the same openings in which the former was set. The legs 68, 69 are however arranged being turned in their sections at the angle of 45 degrees to the sectional position of other legs 66, 67, stable engagement can be made with the shift angle of 180 degrees.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide electric connection of high integrity, durability and reliability despite of the reduced size and weight. CONSTITUTION: A connector is provided with a wafer/interface connecting structure 32 having at least one elastic, compressive contact element 34, whereby a current can flow from one male pin 38 to another male pin 56 without any direct contact between both male pins 38, 56. Since the shape and elasticity of the contact element 34 can be maintained, the contact element 34 can be held inside a hole 98 formed at the wafer/interface connecting structure 32 in a not-compressed state. Consequently, the connector can easily engage or disengage in the state in which reliability and conductivity can be kept. Furthermore, the size and weight of the connector is reduced, thereby facilitating assembling work of the connector. Moreover, a pin contact and a holding member therefor are used in common for mating half bodies of the connector, thus dispensing with a contact for a receiving tool and members relevant thereto.

Abstract: A brush for a starter-generator includes a first carbon block, a second carbon block, a terminal lug, and a plurality of brush leads. Each carbon block has an outboard edge and an inboard edge. Each carbon block includes a front carbon wafer and a rear carbon wafer.
