Abstract:
Epoxy adhesive compositions contain a heat-activatable catalyst. The heat-activatable catalyst includes a tertiary amine catalyst and a novolac resin that has a weight average molecular weight of at least 3000. One-component epoxy adhesive formulations that contain the heat-activatable catalyst have unexpectedly good storage stability.

Abstract:
A fabric sleeve and hybrid yarn filament used in construction of the sleeve for protecting elongate members against at least one of EMI, RFI or ESD, and methods of construction of the sleeve and hybrid yarn filament. The sleeve includes at least one interlaced hybrid yarn filament having a non-conductive filament and at least one conductive wire filament overlying an outer surface of the non-conductive filament. The hybrid yarn filament is arranged in electrical communication with itself or other hybrid yarn filaments to provide uniform shielding against EMI, RFI, and/or ESD.
Abstract:
An fire-retardant insulating material and method of construction thereof has a textile fabric fabricated of continuous basalt filaments. The continuous basalt filaments are preferably texturized or twisted. The insulating material may be arranged in any configuration, such as a sheet, panel or sleeve, and may be knit, woven or braided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a zeolite material having an AFX framework structure comprising X2O3 and YO2 via interzeolite conversion, the process comprising (1) providing a mixture comprising a first zeolite material having a non-FAU framework structure comprising X2O3 and YO2 and an organic structure directing agent selected from diquaternary ammonium cation containing compounds, and (2) heating the mixture from (1) to form a second zeolite material having an AFX framework structure comprising X2O3 and YO2, wherein X is a trivalent element and Y is is a tetravalent element, and wherein the organic structure directing agent is not 1,4-bis(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)butyl dihydroxide when the first material zeolite has a CHA framework structure. The present invention also relates to the zeolite material having an AFX framework structure as obtainable or obtained from the process, and to use of the same as a catalytically active material.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a fabric laminate. In an embodiment, the fabric laminate includes a fabric sheet, a coating layer, and a tie layer. The fabric sheet is composed of propylene-based polymer fibers. The coating layer is composed of one or more ethylene-based polymers. The tie layer is located between the fabric sheet and the coating layer. The tie layer is composed of at least 50 wt%of a crystalline block composite (CBC) and an optional blend component. The CBC includes (i) an isotactic crystalline propylene homopolymer (iPP); (ii) an ethylene/propylene copolymer; and (iii) a diblock with the formula (EP) - (iPP). The CBC has a block composite index (CBCI) from 0.1 to 1.0. The fabric laminate has a peel force from 20 N/15mm to 40 N/15mm.
Abstract:
A composition comprising (A) from 10 wt%to 90 wt%of a propylene component including at least one propylene based polymer having a propylene content of at least 50.0 wt%, based on the total weight of the propylene based polymer, and a melt flow rate from 0.5 g/10 min to 200.0 g/10 min (ASTM D-1238 at 230℃, 2.16 kg) ; (B) from 1 wt%to 60 wt%of a polyolefin elastomer; (C) from 1 wt%to 20 wt%of a block composite comprising (i) an ethylene-propylene copolymer, (ii) an isotactic polypropylene copolymer, and (iii) a block copolymer including an ethylene-propylene soft block that has a same composition as the ethylene-propylene copolymer of the block composite and an isotactic polypropylene hard block that has a same composition as the isotactic polypropylene copolymer of the block composite; and (D) optionally, from 0.1 wt%to 10 wt%of an antioxidant.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for reactivating latent immunodeficiency vims. The methods generally involve contacting an HIV-infected cell in which HIV is latent with an agent that binds a bromodomain (BRD) in the cell. Latently infected cells contain replication-competent integrated HIV-1 genomes that are blocked at the transcriptional level, resulting in the absence of viral protein expression. The present disclosure provides methods for reducing the reservoir of latent immunodeficiency virus in an individual.
Abstract:
A textile sleeve (10) constructed in accordance with one aspect of the invention provides fire protection to an oil or fuel fluid conveying conduit and meets the AS 1055 Class A protection requirements at a zero flow rate and the AS 1055 Class B protection requirements at a zero flow rate. The textile sleeve includes a single tubular textile wall (14) formed from at least one of the group consisting of basalt, silica, ceramic and fiberglass yarn. The wall has an outer surface (18) and an inner surface (20) bounding a cavity (22) sized for receipt of the fluid conveying conduit (12). A coating of silicone rubber is adhered to the outer surface of the wall, and a flame retardant additive is mixed with the silicone rubber to form a coating composition. The flame retardant additive is selected from the group consisting of at least one of zinc borate, magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide.
Abstract:
A textile gasket and method of construction thereof for establishing a seal between mating members in a high temperature application is provided. The gasket has a knit, tubular body constructed at least in part of non-metallic, heat-resistant yarns. The body extends between opposite ends with at least one of the ends being rolled toward the other end to form a circumferentially extending rolled portion of a predetermined diameter for receipt between the mating members.
