A method for displaying a video stream according to a format defined by a user, wherein a graphic element is superimposed on the displayed video stream, and wherein the dimensions and/or position of the graphic element are modified as a function of commands received from the user, so as to define a screen area in which a certain portion of the frames of the video stream is displayed. The video stream is then displayed in a format wherein, for each frame, the frame portion defined by the graphic element is displayed with altered dimensions and/or position on the screen.

A video stream composed of combined video frames having a first resolution and include in their entirety two contents usable through extraction from the aforesaid video frame: a first content belonging to a video stream (F1) at a second resolution lower than the first resolution of the frame; and, in the area of the frame formed by the remaining pixels, at least a second content belonging to an information stream (F2) having, in the case where it is also a video stream, a resolution equal to or less than the second resolution, where during the fruition of one of the two video streams it is shown full-screen in its entirety, or in the case of a data information stream, data encoded via a set of pixels, the number of which is less than or equal to the number of pixels left free by the first video stream.

Processes (and related devices) for capturing and/or reproducing multimedia contents include, in the capturing stage, the steps of: acquiring a multimedia content in the form of a generally time-variable multimedia stream through video acquisition means and possibly also audio acquisition means; acquiring data related to the capturing conditions of the multimedia content (capture parameters) through dynamic monitoring means for monitoring the conditions; storing values dependent on the generally time-variable capture parameters into predetermined areas of the multimedia file associated with the captured multimedia content in the form of dynamic metadata for acquiring the multimedia content; and/or including, in the reproduction stage, the steps of: reading from a memory at least the multimedia file including at least one multimedia content; reading data related to the capturing conditions of the multimedia content (capture parameters) in the form of at least one dynamic metadatum associated with the multimedia content of the multimedia file, and dynamically modifying the modes of reproduction of the multimedia stream corresponding to the multimedia file according to the values of at least the dynamic metadatum associated with the multimedia content.

A method of communication between a calling terminal (M1) and a called terminal (M2), which can be connected to each other through at least one mobile communication network (R1,R2), the called terminal (M2) being equipped with a system for detecting its geographic position, the method including the steps of: sending a connection message from the calling terminal (M1) to the called terminal (M2) through the at least one communication network (R1,R2); sending an answer message from the called terminal (M2) to the calling terminal (M1) through the at least one communication network (R1,R2), wherein the called terminal (M2) enters geographic position information (GPS2) into the answer message and sends the answer message to the calling terminal (M1).

The present invention relates to a method for processing a three-dimensional video content, wherein a video stream processor (2) is inputted with a video stream (Fi) comprising video images and/or data images arranged within single frames according to a determined transport configuration and adapted to produce a three-dimensional display, wherein said video stream processor (2) generates, in response to a control signal (8) sent by a control module (5), a video signal (9,13) reproduceable on an associated visualisation apparatus (4) comprising at least one portion of said images, as arranged in each single frame for at least one of said single frames, so as to support the user in recognising said determined transport configuration.

A method for processing a video stream of digital images includes: receiving the video stream which includes at least one composite frame containing a pair of stereoscopic digital images according to a predetermined packing format; receiving metadata which describes the format of the composite frame; generating an output video stream which can be reproduced on a visualization device, wherein the method further includes the steps of determining the area in the composite frame which is occupied by one image of the stereoscopic pair within the composite frame based on the metadata; extracting the image contained in the area from the composite frame, and generating an output frame containing the extracted image.
