[Classes 18 and 66] The end of a tubular paper container B has an adhering paper strip 5 about one edge of which is folded a flange 4, Figs. 3 and 5, of a metal ring 1 which is locked at 3 to the end-closure 9. The metal ring may be constituted as the wall 15, Fig. 8, of a dished disc 18 interlocking at 19 with the end closure.
