    Abstract: A system and method to detect angular rotation, linear displacement and/or surface deformations is presented. The method is based on the ability of a linear polarized light to interact with magnetic materials and to change its polarization angle due to Faraday effect. A basic structure of the system consists of a magneto-optic (MO) film with a two-domain structure and a single domain wall which are generated by gradient magnetic field produced by opposite polarity permanent magnets placed near the film. An AC magnetic field applied perpendicular to the MO film surface causes the magnetic domain wall in the MO film to oscillate at the same frequency. This leads to a detected output AC modulated signal. By measuring the temporal changes in this signal, information on angular rotation, linear displacement and/or surface deformation can be obtained.

    Abstract: Provided are a field effect transistor and a method of fabricating the same, wherein the field effect transistor is formed which has a hyperfine channel length by employing a technique for forming a sidewall spacer and adjusting the deposition thickness of a thin film. In the field effect transistor of the present invention, a source junction and a drain junction are thin, and the overlap between the source and the gate and between the drain and the gate is prevented, thereby lowering parasitic resistance. Further, the gate electric field is easily introduced to the drain extending region, so that the carrier concentration is effectively controlled in the channel at the drain. Also, the drain extending region is formed to be thinner than the source, so that the short channel characteristic is excellent.

    Abstract: A heterogeneous material-containing bottle cap coupled to a container in a content discharge direction comprises a body assembled to a mouth of the container; a storage space coupled within the body; a receiving part having an opening; a discharge member assembled onto an upper main body mouth having the receiving part; a sealing part formed on the lower portion of the discharge member for sealing the opening of the receiving part; and an upper cap having an upper discharge member stopper is caught by and assembled onto an upper side stopper at the top of the discharge member. In such a bottle cap with the above configuration, when the upper cap is open, the discharge member ascends and the sealing part being sealed in the opening is pushed upwards such that the opening of the receiving part is open. As such, when the bottle cap with the operation part is assembled onto the container neck, it stops temporarily, as opposed to the bottle neck. Under such circumstance, the body and the receiving part descend together, the dolphin of the operation part pushes the sealing part that is mounted in the opening of the receiving part upward, and heterogeneous materials kept in the storage space of the receiving part are then dropped and mixed through the opening of the receiving part.
