The invention relates to a flat-flame vault burner (10) suitable for being installed in a vault (21) which delimits the combustion chamber (20) of a steel heating furnace, the burner (10) comprising a main metallic hollow cylindrical body (12) , a single duct (13) for the conveyance of fuel gas concentric to the main body (12) , and a central internal nozzle (14) for the injection of a fuel gas. Said burner also comprises at least two nozzles (17) outside said main body (12) for the injection of fuel into the combustion chamber (20) .

Gas burner (1) comprising a main metal body (6), an inner lance (11) for combustible gas, at least two outer lances (10) for combustible gas, a single duct (8) for conveying pre-heated air, a regulation system for the combustible gas, a refractory unit (30), characterized in that said gas burner (1) comprises a series of nozzles (20) for the injection of the preheated air into the combustion chamber, and in that, by operating on the gas regulation system, it is possible to switch, with continuity, from a flame functioning mode of the burner to a flameless functioning mode, the latter characterized by low emissions of polluting agents.

A rotary hearth furnace for use in the iron and steel industry comprises a furnace (12, 112) with plan in the shape of an annulus, closed at the bottom by a rotary hearth (14, 114), lined at the top with refractory material (15, 115), and a base (28, 128; 30, 130) of the furnace (12, 112). Said hearth (14,114) comprises a plurality of sectors of an annulus (17, 117; 17', 117'), all the same as one another and connected to form an annulus, complementary to that of the internal plan of the furnace (12, 112), which rotate around the central axis of the annulus, by means of two concentric sets of wheels (26, 126) arranged according to two circumferences, set at equal instances, with supports (25,125), fixed to the base (28) or below the hearth (114), complementary to two circular rails (20, 120), fixed respectively below the hearth (14) or the base (128). According to the invention, both said sets of wheels (26, 126) and said two rails (20, 120) are positioned in such a way as to have an equal load distribution.

A horizontal electrolytic metallization cell, for continuous treatment of strips (N) comprises a pair of counter-rotating sealing rollers at the strip inlet (59) and a pair of counter-rotating sealing rollers at the strip outlet (60). The electrolyte is introduced under pressure through two independent circuits, one upper and one lower, without further sealing members, and made to flow above and below the strip along two horizontal channels contained between the strip itself and the upper (34) and lower (32) anodes. A masking device for the longitudinal edges of the strip comprises a system for the regulation of the transverse position of the masks according to the transverse oscillations of the strip. The upper group of the soluble bar anodes is mounted so that it can be removed, in order to be able to treat the strip material on the lower face only, or on both the lower and upper faces. A pushing device feeds and replaces the anodes in the cell, without interrupting the electroplating process.

A hooking device (1) for moving systems of rolling cylinders comprises a lifting structure (30-32) of a cylinder (50) provided with gripping means (4) of said cylinder (50) and upper hooking means (10) suitable for keeping said device (1) in a raised position, said device (1) also comprising tilt compensation means. According to the invention, said tilt compensation means comprise a series of guides (100, 120), each guide (100, 120) being provided with at least one mass element (200, 220), said at least one mass element (200, 220) being moveable along said guide (100, 120).

The invention relates to a method for cooling a lance provided for converting a medium into a molten mass and/or for measuring the properties of the molten mass. A gas/liquid mixture is fed as a cooling medium into a cooling circuit which is closed up to the lance end (2) situated on the melting side. The invention provides that the gas/liquid mixture or the components thereof is/are fed and permitted to expand under pressure up to the area of the lance end (2) situated on the melting side. The invention also relates to a lance which has a mixing chamber (5, 6) connected to the cooling circuit. The mixing chamber has the connections (3, 7) for a gas and liquid supply which is designed to produce the gas/liquid mixture, whereby the mixing chamber (5, 6) is connected via a pressure line (10) to at least one two-component nozzle (11) arranged in the area of the lance end (2) which is situated on the melting side.
