Abstract:
A system, method and device for error detection/estimation in OFDM communications systems is proposed. The disclosed mechanism allows an efficient error prediction in a received data block (e.g. a packet) without using error detection codes that may impair spectral efficiency (due to the overhead) especially when very small size packets are used. In order to do that, it generates a decision variable with the aim to check whether a received block has errors or not, without resorting to the use of error-detection codes.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a method, system and device for supervising a set of optical fibers of an Optical Network (detecting and locating the failures in deployed optical fibers) which solve some of the problems found in prior art techniques The embodiments of the present invention suggest an innovative approach, which allows to accurately and unambiguously detect and locate failures even in complex point to multipoint optical fiber networks.

The method comprising: receiving, a controller (106), traffic packets from a device, each one of said traffic packets including a VLAN tag indicating a destination of a second device; analyzing, by a first monitoring unit (101) during a period of time, the bytes content of said received packets and reporting said analysis to said controller (106); receiving, said controller (106), said plurality of different subcarriers to be used for said sending; adding, by a tag unit (102), an embedded S-VLAN tag to said analyzed packets identifying to which subcarrier and to which sliceable bandwidth variable transponder (105) each tagged traffic packets per destination is going to be sent; sending said S-VLAN tagged traffic packets to a switch (104), the latter forwarding them to a given port of said identified sliceable bandwidth variable transponder (105) for sending them via different sub-carriers to its corresponding destination, said plurality of different sub-carriers following a same or different path.

The method providing by a plurality of eNodeB wireless mobile connectivity to a plurality of User Equipment (UE) and aggregating by means of a node running in non-3GPP network, backhaul load information related to the access line of said plurality of eNodeB or any other remote equipment. The method also, retrieving by a Proxy Serving Gateway (Proxy S-GW) located in said non-3GPP node, said backhaul load information from said non-3GPP node of said plurality of eNodeB; then, communicating said Proxy S-GW with a Service Gateway (S-GW) pertaining to a 3GPP network by means of a standard S1 interface; and finally sending to said S-GW said backhaul load information through said standard S1 interface in order to assign radio resources to said plurality of eNodeB.The system is adapted for implementing the method of the invention.

The method updating the status of a network by means of a protocol of the control plane of said network and in response to a path request from at least a path computation client (PCC) pre-reserving during a reserved period of time (Tres), by at least one path computation element (PCE), a plurality of network resources in at least one traffic engineering database (TED) of the at least one PCE. The method dynamically modifying by a timer policy said reserved period of time (Tres) by at least using information data regarding the delay of said control plane.The system of the invention is adapted to implement the method of the invention.

A distributed health-check method for web caching in a telecommunication network, wherein a plurality of web caching nodes are coordinated to monitor a set of origin servers where web content is generated. The method includes associating to each user of the telecommunication network requesting the web content buckets as logical containers for holding the web content requested; generating a list of users of the telecommunication network requesting the web content; and performing the plurality of web caching nodes a number of health-checks to the set of origin servers to download the requested web content. A filtering of the set of origin servers is performed for grouping in different areas of interest and the number of health-checks are performed by a limited number of caching nodes receiving the web content requests. The limited number of caching nodes selected belonging to a specific area of interest of the set of origin servers monitoring them.

A system and method for managing subscriber mobile devices comprising: a home network (400) of a first mobile network operator (MNO1), in which data associated with at least one physical SIM of a subscriber device with an embedded SIM card (eUICC) is obtained, and a destination network (300) of a second mobile network operator (MNO2) which the device travels to, obtaining static data and dynamic data associated with at least one virtual SIM (503, 603) of the device. The dynamic data comprise a subscriber authentication key (Ki) and is obtained from a SIM provider platform (500, 600) on which the destination network (300) relies. The static data comprise IMSI/MSISDN identities and is stored in a pool (202) of the destination network (300).For a given virtual SIM, it is checked whether there is an association in a mapping table (106) of the first mobile network operator (MNO1) between the static data from the pool (202) and the physical SIM data from the home network (400).
