Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for detecting existence of voltage on a grounding conductor connected to a protective earthing (PE) terminal related to a power source.SOLUTION: A power source is used for applying voltage to a device. The device can use a high impedance device connected across a switch by the switch communicating with a part of the device. A control device monitors voltage across the high impedance device, and further can determine whether the voltage across the high impedance device exceeds a predefined threshold value. Exceeding the predefined threshold value indicates there exists unsafe voltage from the power source on a grounding conductor. A specific high impedance path between the device and the earth is used to provide grounding connection to the ground via the device during operation of the device.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for current control of an optimal mechanical relay, since resistance of a mechanical relay coil increases with temperature and excess electrical energy is consumed. SOLUTION: The method generally includes momentarily initiating a pull-in pulse when an input signal indicates a first state. A sense resistor controller is activated based on the pull-in pulse. A current flow is controlled to bypass a sense resistor and flow to the relay based on the activation of the sense resistor controller. The relay is controlled based on the current flow. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compass mountable on vehicles with various orientation positions and orientation directions. SOLUTION: The compass system comprises an electronic compass capable of providing a raw compass read value, at least one adjustment factor relating to a position of the electronic compass, and a compensation device selectively providing a compass read value compensated based on the raw compass read value and the adjustment factor. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method capable of solving a problem caused when a user wants to use auidovisual programming of a multi-format if data has to be transmitted through a common network or if space, power or other consideration limit the use of various reproducing devices. SOLUTION: A multi-format decoder board 102 interfaces with an optical fiber data network 110. Because data can be transmitted over a data network in a wide variety of formats, the decoder board 102 is able to decode data streams of auidovisual programming in a variety of formats so that the data can be outputted by the board 102 to various output devices. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shortage of resistance force against careless separation of a fitting connector in some of well-known constitutions of CPA structures, and/or to prevent an erroneous instruction that the CPA structure is located in a position enabling a fitting connector to be removed from being given to a technician.SOLUTION: A connector assembly 10 includes: a first connector component 12; a second connector component 14; and a connector position assurance structure 16. A deflection prevention tab and a deflection prevention protrusion part are used in the connector assembly 10 in order to adjust movement of the connector position assurance structure 16 relative to a remaining portion of the connector assembly 10.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet whose shape can be suitably changed to prevent damage to electrical wires arranged between body panels of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A grommet 10 with passages 28 formed to house electrical wires includes: mounting structures 12, 14 mounted in apertures in body panels; a tube 16; and a plurality of stiffeners 54. The grommet has a structure with the mounting structures connected with the tube on both sides. The tube has a smooth portion 42, and a corrugated portion 46 that has ridges 50 and grooves 52. The stiffeners are disposed within a certain zone 56 of the corrugated portion on the ridges. The amount and placement of the stiffeners are selected to yield a desired shape of the grommet. For example, the stiffeners extend partially around the circumference of the tube.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of electric connection, and provide a ground device for a coaxial cable wherein damage to the cable is reduced. SOLUTION: The ground device 10 for the coaxial cable is connected at a hinge, and mutually movable to a clamp position around the hinge, and arranged closely adjacent to each other, and has the first and the second clamp members 12, 14 to hold a cable 16 in between, the first contact point 30 that contacts with an electro-conductive part 16b of the cable 16 when the clamp member becomes a clamp state, and a means 52 to fix the first clamp member 12 to the electric ground.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connection method which does not require a connector manually fitted to the lower side of an electric center (BEC), before the electric center (BEC) is fixed in a vehicle. SOLUTION: A BEC structure includes a BEC 10, having a BEC connector on its lower surface, and a lower housing 12. Flexible holding arms 48 extend upward from the lower housing and engage with a connector 16. When the BEC 10 is mounted to the lower housing 12, the connector 16 is automatically aligned with the BEC 10, a cover extending downward from the BEC 10 abuts on the holding arms 48, and the connector 16 is released from a preset position and deflects the holding arms 48 outward, so as that it freely slides upward toward the BEC connector. A bolt 30 penetrates the BEC connector, and the rotation of the bolt 30 engages the connector 16 with the BEC connector and engages it with an seizure nut of the connector 16 so as to pull it upward.
