A process for preparing cosmetic composite powder is provided to improve white turbidity of titanium dioxide and talc, dispersibility, adhesion and gloss by adhering titanium dioxide, talc or their mixture on the surface of silicon-based polymer powder with shear force. A process for preparing cosmetic composite powder fixes titanium dioxide, talc or their mixture on the surface of silicon-based polymer powder by using only shear force without solvent. The titanium dioxide, talc or silicon-based polymer powder is pulverized by using only the shear force. The silicon binder is added to the silicon-based polymer powder.

Mica composite powder is provided to improve adhesive strength of mica powder, and spreadibility and lasting properties of formulation by enhancing water repellency through coating the mica powder with trimethylsiloxysilicate, so that the mica composite powder is useful for conferring long lash effects on mascara composition. The mica composite powder having the aspect ratio of 90-120 and average particle size of 3-40 mum is coated with 1.0-5.0 wt.% of a resin selected from trimethylsiloxysilicate/cyclotetrasiloxane, trimethylsiloxysilicate/cyclopentasiloxane, trimethylsiloxysilicate/dimethicone and trimethylsiloxysilicate/isododecane having MQ ratio of 0.7-1.3 through heat treatment at 120-350 deg. C. A long lash type mascara composition comprises 0.1-4.0 wt.% of the mica composite powder coated with trimethylsiloxysilicate.

Porous silica complex powder is provided to have an excellent performance in moisturizing and water retention, by adsorbing or collecting pentaerythritol derivatives and higher alcohol or polyol on porous silica. Complex powder is prepared by adsorbing or collecting pentaerythritol derivatives and higher alcohol or polyol containing 16-22 carbons on porous silica. The higher alcohol is 2-octyl dodecanol. The polyol is selected from a group consisting of dipropylene glycol, a sorbitols solution, glycerol, molasses, polyethylene glycol, glucose, propylene glycol, and 1,3-butylene glycol. The pentaerythritol derivatives and the higher alcohol or the polyol are mixed at a weight ratio of 1:0.1-0.6. Further, a particle size of the complex powder is 0.2-50mum, and a pore of the complex powder is 1-50nm.

A composite powder, and a cosmetic composition containing the composite powder are provided to improve water content, moisturizing effect and moisturizing power keeping effect. A composite powder comprises porous silica; and a mixture of a pentaerythritol derivative and water which is adsorbed to and trapped in the porous silica. Preferably the mixture comprises further a C16-C22 alcohol; and/or glycerin. Preferably the pentaerythritol derivative is represented by the formula 1, wherein R is independently identical or different one another and is H, or a C1-C24 saturated or unsaturated and linear or branched alkyl group containing or not containing a hydroxyl group; m is identical or different one another and is an integer of 0-10; and n is identical or different one another and is an integer of 1-10.

A mesoporous inorganic composite powder and a preparation method thereof are provided to have a wide range of ultraviolet blocking effects and improved safety and convenience in use by supporting metal oxides such as cerium, iron and the like into pores of a mesoporous silica molecular sieve in which a metal element is substituted in a skeleton. A mesoporous inorganic composite powder comprises metal oxides supported in pores of a mesoporous silica molecular sieve material in which a metal element is substituted in a skeleton. A preparation method of a mesoporous inorganic composite powder comprises the steps of: (A) dissolving a surfactant into distilled water, dissolving a metal precursor into an acid, and mixing the solutions; (B) adding a silica precursor into the mixture obtained in the step(A), adjusting a pH of the mixture to a neutral pH, and subjecting the pH adjusted mixture to a hydrothermal reaction; (C) filtering, cleaning and drying the material obtained in the step(B); (D) firing the material obtained in the step(C) to remove the surfactant; (E) dissolving a metal precursor into distilled water or alcohol to mix the metal precursor with the distilled water or alcohol; (F) mixing a metal precursor mixed solution obtained in the step(D) with a mixture obtained in the step(E); and (G) drying and firing the material obtained in the step(F).
