Abstract: PURPOSE: An oil-in-water cleansing composition is provided to stabilize oil with a polymer tackifier and to rapidly remove makeup ingredients. CONSTITUTION: An oil-in-water cleansing composition contains 0.5-10 weight% of polymer tackifier, 30-60 weight% of oil, and 0.01-1 weight% of surfactant. The oil is hydrocarbons, esters of high quality alcohol and high quality fatty acid, high quality alcohol, high quality fatty acid oil, triglycerides or silicon. The polymer tackifier is carboxyvinyl polymer, alkylacrylate cross polymer of acrylate/carbon number 10-30, carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, polyacrylamide, hydroxy ethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyl dimethyl taurate copolymer and xanthan gum, sodium magnesium silicate or magnesium aluminium silicate.
