Abstract:
A method for measuring the amount of human stratum corneum exfoliation is provided to digitize the stratum corneum exfoliation amount using an image analysis program by improving a conventional technique of evaluating the stratum corneum exfoliation amount visually through fluorescence staining, thereby verifying the stratum corneum amount objectively. A method for measuring the amount of human stratum corneum exfoliation comprises the steps of: (a) coating a fluorescent staining sample such as Dansyl chloride and dihydroxyacetone on a stratum corneum of skin surface for fluorescence-staining; (b) coating a sample for exfoliation such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, salicylic acid and papain enzyme on the fluorescent-stained stratum corneum for 4-14 days to perform exfoliation; (c) fluorescence-photographing the exfoliated stratum corneum to obtain a fluorescent image; and (d) setting up an analysis area of the fluorescent image and digitizing fluorescence strength of the analysis by using an image analysis program. Further, the step (a) of coating a fluorescent staining sample is performed for 6 hrs.
Abstract:
A sheet-type cosmetic composition is provided to increase the effect of an insoluble material to skin by improving dispersion property of the insoluble material which is unable to be stabilized in a conventional low viscous formulation and immersing the insoluble material into a sheet. A sheet-type cosmetic composition is characterized in that it includes a sheet where a low-viscous nano-emulsion containing a liposomed insoluble material is immersed, wherein the insoluble material is at least one selected from the group consisting of retinol, a retinol derivative, tocopherol, tocopheryl acetate, tocopheryl linoleate, tocopheryl nicotinate, linoleic acid, coenzyme Q-10, resveratrol, a plant extract essential oil, ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, oil-soluble licorice root, and lipoic acid. Further, the 1 to 10 wt.% of insoluble liposome is comprised based on the 100 wt.% of cosmetic composition, and the low-viscous of the emulsion is 300 to 3000 CPS.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A composition containing musk having effects of strengthening the formation and maintenance of a natural moisturizing factor present in the stratum corneum of the skin and naturally increasing synthesis of lipid between cells is provided. It can be used as a therapeutic agent for preventing skin diseases such as atopic contact dermatitis as well as xeroderma or improving its symptoms. CONSTITUTION: The composition for external for improving the drying of the skin is characterized in that it contains 0.0001 to 20% by weight of musk as an effective ingredient, based on the total weight of the composition. The musk is musk 781 or musk T. The improvement in drying of the skin contains inducing the cell growth of keratinocyte, recovering a skin barrier, promoting the expression of filaggrin, activating PPAR(Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor)-α, increasing biosynthesis of ceramide, improving skin moisturization, preventing atopic, contact dermatitis or improving its symptoms.

PURPOSE: Provided is a composition of external application to the skin containing extract of Adenophorea radix, thereby preventing dryness of the skin, improving moisture retaining property of the skin, and preventing and treating atopic dermatitis and skin inflammation. CONSTITUTION: A composition of external application to the skin is characterized by containing, as an active ingredient, 0.0001-60 wt.% of extract of Adenophorea radix. The composition moisturizes the skin, improves atopic dermatitis or skin inflammation, facilitates the differentiation of keratinocyte and expression of filaggrin, promotes the generation of ceramide, and activates PPAR-alpha.
