    Abstract: The present invention relates to an anticancer composition including a GKN1 amino-terminal regulatory motif and more specifically, to the active region of a GKN1 gene having an excellent activity for inhibiting the occurrence of stomach cancer and inhibiting the metastasis of cancer cells. The GKN1 amino-terminal regulatory motif according to the present invention not only has an excellent activity for inhibiting the survival and proliferation of cancer cells but also halts the progress of a cell cycle. Therefore, the present invention can be used for a composition for treating cancer and a method for screening an anticancer medicine.
