Abstract: The technique is designed to perform a balanced detection with a fiber optic magnetic field sensor using ferromagnetic substances such as metallic glass. The magnetic field sensor includes : a light source (1); a 20 magnification power objective lens (20); the first and the second directional couplers (11, 15); a polarization controller (13); a phase modulator (14); a magnetostrictive transducer (16); a solenoid (17); a photodetector (21); a differential amplifier (22); a compensation unit (23); a lock-in amplifier (24); an integrator (25); and an adder (25).
