Abstract: PURPOSE: A fixing plate for indoor unit of air conditioner is provided to prevent condensate water from being collected into a drain pan. CONSTITUTION: A fixing plate(400) comprises a near square-shaped main body having an upper surface tilted at a predetermined angle and which has a plurality of screw holes(420) for fixing a rear surface of a housing(507) of an indoor unit(500); and a pair of upper fixing pieces(410) arranged onto the tilted plane of the main body and which have through holes formed at centers of the fixing pieces for a fixation to the wall of a room. Abstract: PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to have a structure for securing a control box for easily coupling the control box to a housing of the air conditioner without using a special tool. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a housing (314) integrally having at least three elastic supporting stands (325, 335, 345) and at least three hook members (320, 330, 340) at its bottom wall, an evaporator for generating cool air installed within the housing (314), a blow fan for blowing the cool air, a motor for driving the blow fan, and a control box (400) installed within the housing (314) and supported by the elastic supporting stand (325, 335, 345). On a bottom wall of the control box (400), three first through-holes (410, 420, 430) are formed at the positions corresponding to the hook members (320, 330, 340) so that the hook members penetrate the first through-holes (410, 420, 430). On a rear wall and both side walls of the control box (400), second through-holes (440, 450, 460) are formed respectively so that leading ends of the hook members (320, 330, 340) which pass through the first through-holes (410, 420, 430) protrude outside of the control box (400). The control box (400) can be fixedly coupled to the housing (314) without using a screw, thereby facilitating its assembly and reducing the time required for assembly operations.
