Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing Phoma destructiva using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is provided to quickly and simply classify and identify the strain from imported seedlings and seeds. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for detecting Phoma destructiva contains a forward primer with a base sequence of sequence number 10 and a reverse primer with a base sequence of sequence number 11. A method for detecting the strain comprises the steps of performing PCR using the primer set and detecting the strain. A kit for detecting the strain contains the primer set.
