Abstract: PURPOSE: A carbon dioxide gas pre processor of an agricultural product is provided to extend the storage and expiration period for the agricultural product by controlling the flesh softening. Abstract: An automatic sorting apparatus for red ginsengs is provided to determine grades of the red ginsengs automatically based on the image information on the outer appearance of the red ginsengs and the information on the inner parts of the ginsengs obtained by transmission spectrum. An automatic sorting apparatus for red ginsengs(R) includes a conveyor(20), a holder(30), a camera(60), a spectrum analyzer(70), and a computer system(80). The conveyer is installed to a frame(10). The holder holds the red ginseng, being installed to the conveyor. The camera photographs the red ginsengs on the holder to obtain image information of the red ginseng. The spectrum analyzer penetrates light through the red ginseng on the holder to detect transmission spectrum of the red ginseng. The computer system analyzes the image information on the red ginseng and transmission spectrum to grade the red ginsengs.
