Abstract: A circulation type carrier device for an activated sludge-treating apparatus is provided to supply air into an aerating bath actively, thereby efficiently treating sludge, by circulating a belt-typed carrier such that a portion of the belt-typed carrier is immersed in the sludge within the aerating bath and the other portion of the belt-typed carrier is contacted with air. A circulation type carrier device is installed at an aerating bath(10) into which sludge is inputted. The carrier device comprises a frame(20), a plurality of rollers(31-36,61,62) rotatively installed at the frame, a roller driving unit for driving the rollers, and a belt-typed carrier(70). The belt-typed carrier carries microorganism for decomposing organic matters contained in the sludge. The belt-typed carrier is circulated while a portion of the carrier is immersed in the sludge within the aerating bath and the other portion of the carrier is contacted with air. The belt-typed carrier is supported by the plurality of rollers. Further, a screen is installed in order to screen sludge outside the aerating bath.
