Abstract: PURPOSE: An aqueous film-forming composition is provided which uses a polymerization system containing a sulfonation polyester-based hydrophilic gelator and a radical copolymer to make it be not stained at all, be not occurred a pulling of keratinous materials for or after applying, and be easily removed, so it is useful for a make-up of the keratinous materials. CONSTITUTION: The film-forming composition contains (A) a water-soluble or a water-dispersible terephthalic acid copolymer oligomer which comprises a dicarboxylate repeated unit of the formula 1 (-CO-A-CO-O-(CH2-CH2O)n-) and has a weight average molecular weight of not more than 20,000, in which; 35 mol.% and over among the dicarboxylate repeated unit of the formula 1 is a monomer being A of a 1,4-phenylene group and n of 1; 7 mol.% and over among the dicarboxylate repeated unit is a monomer being A of a sulfo-1,3-phenylene group; and 20 mol.% and under of the dicarboxylate repeated unit is a monomer being A of 1,3-phenylene group, and (B) one or more of the film-forming copolymer systems containing radical copolymer particles dispersed in the water phase.
