Abstract: 본 발명은 일차원 기체전자증폭 디지털 영상화 방사선 검출장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공하기 위한 것으로, 입사한 엑스선 또는 감마선으로 내부 충진기체에서 전리전자를 발생시키거나 또는 입사한 하전입자로 내부 충진기체에서 전리전자를 발생시키는 전리전자발생부와; 상기 전리전자발생부에서 발생된 전리전자를 입력받아 GEM을 이용해 GEM 구멍 내부 충진기체에서 전자사태를 통해 증폭시켜 전자구름을 형성시키는 기체전자증폭부와; 상기 기체전자증폭부에서 증폭되어 형성된 전자구름이 출력전극에 도달한 위치를 전기신호로 받아들임으로써 전자구름의 좌표를 파악하여 출력하는 출력부;를 포함하여 일차원 기체전자증폭 검출부를 구성함으로써, 엑스선 또는 감마선과 같은 고에너지 입사 광에 의한 광전효과나 컴프턴효과를 유도하여 발생된 내부 충진기체의 전리전자 또는 입사 하전입자에 의해 직접 발생된 내부 충진기체의 전리전자를 기체전자증폭기를 이용하여 GEM 구멍에서 전자사태를 통해 증폭시켜 피사체 내외부의 화상정보를 실시간에 이차원으로 영상화하여 항만이나 공항 등의 보안검색용이나 또는 산업용 비파괴검사장치의 핵심부품 등으로 사용할 수 있게 하는 것이다.
