    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for assessing the probability of groundwater contamination using indicator Kriging, and a system thereof are provided to asses the possibility of underground contamination caused by a heavy metal or a noxious organic matter through a probability function. CONSTITUTION: A pollution judgment unit(300) includes a probability writing module and a pollution possibility evaluation module. The probability writing module calculates the probability for the possibility of contamination of an assessment target region by using a coordinate grid distribution of the calculated estimator values in the indicator Kriging calculation unit. The contamination possibility assess module evaluates the underground water contamination possibility by using the calculated probability, and a display unit(400) displays the probability and the contamination possibility assessment result which are calculated in the contamination judgment unit.
