    Abstract: An apparatus for dehydration of sludge is provided to perform dehydration by reducing a gap between upper and lower belts while expanding the expansion members of the belts, maximize dehydration efficiency by performing a pressing operation in a state that the expansion members are engaged with teeth of pressurizing rollers, manufacture the apparatus conveniently by constructing the apparatus simply, and improve the dehydration efficiency remarkably with respect to manufacturing costs. An apparatus(10) for dehydration of sludge comprises: a frame(100) having a sludge supply pipe(104) installed on a front side thereof; a transfer part(200) which transfers sludge supplied through the sludge supply pipe, and in which the sludge is primarily pressed by gradually decreasing a gap between upper and lower transfer belts(222,224) as the sludge is proceeded; a dehydration part(300) installed next to the transfer part to press and dehydrate transferred sludge, the dehydration part including upper and lower dehydrating belts composed of two plies of inner and outer layers, and expansion members which are formed between the inner and outer layers, and of which volumes are expanded or bent by heat such that the upper and lower dehydrating belts are closely adhered to each other to perform a dehydrating process; pressing rollers for pressing the upper and lower dehydrating belts to perform the dehydrating process; and an electric power part(400) including an electric motor(420) for rotating the respective belts of the transfer part and the dehydration part. Further, the transfer part consists of an upper belt and a lower belt.
