Abstract: The present invention provides a ballast water filtering device comprising: a housing having a seawater inlet and a seawater outlet formed thereon; a partition plate for partitioning the inside of the housing into a seawater inflow-side space intercommunicating with the seawater inlet and a seawater outflow-side space intercommunicating with the seawater outlet, and having a plurality of passing holes arranged in a circular shape; a plurality of filter elements included in the seawater outflow-side space in the housing, having a space for flowing seawater inside, having a lower end intercommunicating with each passing hole on the partition plate, and provided while vertically erected; a rotating suction part installed in the seawater inflow-side space in the housing and introducing washing water being used for washing while sequentially corresponding to each passing hole of the partition plate; a discharge part for discharging the washing water introduced from the rotating suction part; and a sequential rotating part for sequentially rotating the rotating suction part by the arrangement intervals of the filter elements. Accordingly, the present invention can minimize incomplete backwash by minimizing time consumed to make each of the filter elements correspond to the rotating suction part in the process of backwashing during filtering operation to backwash the inside of each of the filter elements.
