Abstract: An apparatus and method by which a plurality of base stations cooperates with each other in wireless communication system is disclosed. A cloud cell includes a plurality of base stations cooperating for a terminal, synchronizes user context for servicing the terminal among a plurality of base stations included in the cloud cell, and provides a communication service to the terminal by the cooperation of the plurality of base stations. The present invention minimizes the number of occurrence of handover when a terminal is moving between base stations and transmits data by base stations in a cloud cell even in a shadow area or cell boundary in a cooperative way, minimizing decrease in data rate of a terminal.
