There is provided a method for generating a stream of N symbols by puncturing a stream of repeated symbols in a system including an encoder for generating a stream of L symbols, a repeater for repeating the stream of L symbols, and a puncturer for puncturing the stream of repeated symbols and generating a stream of N symbols, where N is larger than L. The method comprises generating a stream of LM repeated symbols by repeating the stream of L symbols M times, where M is an minimum integer larger than N/L; calculating a first puncturing interval D1 defined as a minimum integer larger than LM/P for a number, P=LM-N, of symbols to be punctured, and a first symbol puncturing number P1 defined as a maximum integer smaller than LM/D1; calculating a second symbol puncturing number P2 indicating a difference between the number P of the symbols to be punctured and the first symbol puncturing number P1, and a second puncturing interval D2 defined as sD1 for a selected one integer s out of integers smaller than or equal to a maximum integer smaller than P1/P2; and generating a stream of N symbols by puncturing the stream of LM repeated symbols at the first puncturing interval D1 and the second puncturing interval D2.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A backward data transfer rate determining method and apparatus of a mobile communication system are provided to perform an effective overload controlling and prevent a sharp transfer rate change of a terminal by performing a backward transfer rate controlling of the selective terminal by a base station. CONSTITUTION: An entire load(T) is measured by measuring a total power energy on a backward link from each terminal in the current sector to a base station(610). The loads occupied by each terminal for the entire load on the backward link, that is a contribution degree by each terminal is measured(620). A variable indicating the number of terminals is initialized as '0'(630). The pre-set values for each terminal and the measured load are compared in order to determine a reverse activity bit(RAB) of each terminal(640). If the load of the terminal is greater than the pre-set value, the RAB value of the corresponding terminal is determined as '1'(650). 'k' indicating the number of terminal which is set as '0' in the initialization process and determines the RAB value newly is increased by '1'(655). It is determined whether the 'k' indicating the number of terminals which has determined the RAB value newly is identical to 'N' indicating the number of all terminals(660). If 'k' is identical to 'N', that is, when the RAB value is determined for every terminal, the RAB value determined for each terminal is transmitted(670).

PURPOSE: A method for generating a frame synchronization word and verifying the frame synchronization word in a W-CDMA communication system is provided to generate a synchronization word pattern for synchronization verification in an asynchronous CDMA communication system. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for generating a synchronization word for synchronization of frames each having a predetermined number of slots, each of at least two m-sequence generators generates the predetermined number of sequential elements, and a selector multiplexes the sequential elements received from the m-sequence generators and assigns the multiplexed elements in the slots.

본 발명은 이동통신 네트워크와 공중교환 전화네트워크(PSTN)의 통합 서비스에 관한 것으로서, 특히 이동통신 네트워크와 공중교환 전화네트워크의 가입자 서비스를 통합하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 이동 단말기의 가입자가 PSTN을 통해서 서비스를 받을 수 있음을 알리기 위하여 이동 단말기 및 그에 인접한 PSTN 단말기의 위치를 이동통신 네트워크와 PSTN에 등록하면, 이동 단말기의 착신시, 이동 단말기 가입자의 상태(위치등록이 되었는지, 해당 이동 단말기가 서비스 가능 지역에 있는지 등)와 트래픽 분배, 호 부하율, 각 네트워크의 이상유무 및 가입자의 통화 경향 등을 고려하여 두 네트워크 가운데 하나의 네트워크를 통해 이동 단말기 또는 PSTN 단말기로 통신 서비스가 제공되도록 한다. 이로써 본 발명은, 이중화된 두 네트워크를 통해 이동 단말기의 가입자에게 안정된 통신 서비스를 제공하며, 이동통신 네트워크의 과부하 또는 이동통신 네트워크/PSTN의 장애시에도 다른 네트워크를 통해 가입자에게 통신 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A frame receiving result report apparatus of a mobile communication system and a method thereof are provided to report a receiving result corresponding to all of the current channels in a mobile communication system and to allocate a certain number of traffic channel frame receiving result indication bits in a frame based on the number of the current channels for a use of the same and to efficiently control a transmission power by multiplexing and transmitting a bit for indicating a frame-based receiving result by a receiver which receives at least two channels. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter(base station) transmits the first traffic channel frame and the second traffic channel frame to a receiver(mobile station). The receiver multiplexes a receiving result with respect to the first traffic channel frame and the second traffic channel frame. The first traffic channel frame generator(510) generates and outputs the first traffic channel frame. A multiplier(514) multiplies the first traffic channel frame from the first traffic channel frame generator(510) with the first channel gain. The second traffic channel frame generator(512) generates and outputs the second traffic channel frame. The multiplier(516) multiplies the second traffic channel frame from the channel gain controller(522) with the second channel gain.

PURPOSE: A method for testing a terminating call from a remote place by using a base station tester of a CDMA/PCS base station and a mobile station is provided to recognize a service state and a quality from a remote place by remotely controlling a radio frequency switch of a base station tester of a pertinent base station from a place where base stations are managed to select a sector desired to be tested and setting up a test call to a mobile station mounted at the base station tester. CONSTITUTION: A radio frequency switch mounted at a base station tester is controlled from a remote place. A test call set-up according to allocation of a desired sector/frequency, a test of a base station resource and a public interface message logged from a mobile station are transmitted through the base station tester to a base station manager. The message is stored in a filed by the base station manger. A data with which a service state can be analyzed is provided to the operator by using the file. The base station sets the test call as a service option such as a S02/S09/MARKOV to a MIN of the mobile station mounted at the BTU. The tested remote terminating call is transmitted to the base station manager, so that the base station manager stores it in a file and provides a data so as for the operator to analyze the service state. When the base station located in a remote place from the BSM receives a terminating cal test command, it checks whether a resource occupancy is required and transmits a command that an RF switch is switched to a pertinent sector to the BTU. Then, the BTU switches the RF switch to the pertinent sector and reports the result to the base station.

PURPOSE: A method is provided to be able to minimize the delay to a regulation of transmitted power from the measurement of the power of a mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: The power control signal transmitting method of a CDMA mobile communication terminal device comprises the steps of: measuring the ratio of an interference to the received signal; comparing the measured figure with a critical one; generating a power control bit according to the compared result; sending the power control bit after multiplexing the power control bit with a reverse direction pilot signal for the next transmission of the power control group so as to transmit; placing the power control bit in the central part of the power control group.

본 발명은 기지국의 서비스상태 및 보코더등 자원의 이상여부를 파악하기 위한 것이다. 특히 씨디엠에이/피씨에스 기지국의 기지국 시험기와 이동국을 이용한 원격에서의 착신호 시험방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 기지국 시험기에 장착된 고주파수 스위치를 제어하여 원하는 섹터·주파수 할당으로 시험호 셋업과 기지국 자원의 시험 및 이동국으로부터 로깅(logging)한 공중 인터페이스 메시지를 기지국 시험기를 통해 기지국관리자로 보내 기지국관리자에서 파일로 저장하여 운용자에게 서비스 상태를 분석할 수 있도록 한다. 본 발명에서는, 원격에서 해당 기지국의 서비스상태, 통화품질 등을 파악하는 것이 가능하다. 또 전체 호 처리 과정에서의 호 실패 원인을 파악하여 운용자에게 제공하고, 시스템에서 보유하고 있는 자원을 선택적으로 할당하여 해당 자원의 이상유무를 진단할 수 있다. 그리고 중요 기지국 시스템 파라미터 메시지 등을 분석하여 해당 기지국의 대기 환경을 판단 할 수 있는 자료를 수집하여 제공한다. 본 발명은, 원격지에서 기지국 시험기에 장착된 고주파수 스위치를 제어하는 단계, 원하는 섹터/주파수 할당으로 시험호 셋업과 기지국 자원의 시험 및 이동국으로부터 로깅한 공중 인터페이스 메시지를 기지국 시험기를 통해 기지국관리자로 보내는 단계, 상기 메시지를 상기 기지국관리자에서 파일로 저장하는 단계 및 상기 파일을 이용하여 운용자에게 서비스 상태를 분석할 수 있는 자료를 제공하는 단계를 포함한다.
