Abstract: A display device and a control method therefor are provided. The control method for a display device according to the present invention is as follows: a mode initiation command is received from one of a plurality of input units for controlling a pointer; when the mode initiation command is inputted through a first input unit of the multiple input units, a pointer is displayed on the display screen; and when the mode initiation command is inputted through a second input unit of the multiple input units, the pointer and at least one guide user interface (UI) are displayed on the display screen. According to the present invention, a user can perform functions of the display device easily through an input device.
