Abstract: PURPOSE: A recording control method of a recording/reproducing device is provided to first perform a flush function for a temporarily recorded video signal, and to convert into a power-off mode, thereby preventing the video signal from being lost even though the conversion occurs while recording the video signal in a recording device. CONSTITUTION: If an A/V signal and attribute information on the A/V signal are supplied to an HDD(S500), a recording medium controller temporarily records the A/V signal and the attribute information(S510). The controller records the A/V signal in plural unrecorded clusters of a data recording area, and records the attribute information in plural unrecorded clusters of an attribute information recording area for a long time(S520). If a power-off command signal is received, a main controller informs the recording medium controller of it(530). The recording medium controller decides whether the A/V signal, the attribute information, and each of cluster information are temporarily recorded(S540). If so, the medium controller performs a flush function(S550). The main controller turns off the power source of a recording/reproducing device(S560).
