Abstract: Proposed are a dryer capable of reducing static electricity without causing drying defects, and a method for controlling the same. Before the drying degree of an object reaches the target drying degree and the cooling is conducted, the mist is sprayed to reduce static electricity, thereby eliminating displeasure of users. Further, in the procedure in which the static electricity is reduced, since the mist is sprayed while a motor and a heater are both operated, the mist is sprayed in a steam state, which in turn the drying-completed object is not wetted. Accordingly, the static electricity can be reduced while the drying defects are not caused.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A lifter and a washing machine having thereof are provided to simply mount a lifter on a drum not using fastening members, of which the shape is curved, thereby increasing washing and drying efficiency of laundry. CONSTITUTION: A lifter(40a) includes a body forming the external appearance of the lifter; and a frame(105a) forming the lower end of the body and contacting the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part(31) of a drum(30) when the lifter is mounted on the drum. The lower end of the lifter is open and forms an opening(103a) at the inside of the frame. The body includes two contact surfaces(101a, 102a) rotated together with the drum and performing a function of holding and lifting laundry; and a side surface(104a) connected to the lateral sides of the two contact surfaces. A plurality hooks(200) is arranged along the frame of the lower end of the lifter. The hook includes a support part(202) protruding from the frame in the opposite direction to the body; and a hanging part(201) bent from the support part toward the inside of the frame. Two fixing protrusions((301, 302) protrude adjacent to the frame of the lower end of the lifter. The two protrusions perform a function of preventing rotation and movement of the lifter after the lifter is mounted on the cylindrical part of the drum.
