Abstract: 본 발명은 전자 장치를 제어하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 리모트 콘트롤러는 사용자 입력을 수신하기 위한 복수 개의 사용자 입력 키를 포함하는 사용자 입력부; 전자 장치에서 사용자 입력 신호에 따라 선택될 수 있는 적어도 하나의 선택 정보를 포함하는 화면에서 선택 정보의 배열 정보에 기초하여 복수 개의 사용자 입력 키 중 유효하게 동작하는 사용자 입력 키를 결정하고, 유효하게 동작하는 사용자 입력 키에 대한 정보를 제공하는 제어부; 및 사용자 입력 키를 식별하기 위한 식별 정보를 전자 장치로 전송하는 전송부를 포함하고, 유효하게 동작하는 사용자 입력 키 중 하나의 사용자 입력 키가 선택되면, 제어부는 전송부를 제어하여 전자 장치의 화면에 배치된 선택 정보 중 선택된 사용자 입력 키의 위치에 대응하는 선택 정보가 선택되도록 선택된 사용자 입력 키를 식별하기 위한 식별 정보를 전자 장치로 전송한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 사용자의 직관적인 전자 장치의 제어가 가능하다.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for selecting a digital broadcasting channel are provided to enable a user to select the broadcasting channel intuitively by providing a picture, corresponding to the composition of a user key input of a user input device, for selecting the broadcasting channel. A control unit(310) configures a broadcasting information providing picture to arrange broadcasting information of each channel in a position corresponding to a position of each user input key on the basis of arrangement information of at least one user input key. A display processing unit(320) controls the output of the broadcasting information providing picture. A user input signal receiving unit(330) receives an input signal from the user input key. The control unit selects a broadcasting channel corresponding to broadcasting information provided in a position corresponding to the user input key. When a broadcasting signal processor(340) transfers broadcasting data and the broadcasting information to the controller, the controller stores the receiving broadcasting data and information at a storage(350) or outputs the data and information to the display processing unit after decoding.
