PURPOSE: A video encoding method with prediction using a reference list, a device thereof, a video decoding method thereof, and a device thereof are provided to set LC default number information per picture and to perform prediction encoding of a B slice type image by using a determined LC reference list. CONSTITUTION: A video prediction encoding device sets LC default number information per picture for prediction encoding of a B slice type image(111). The video prediction encoding device determines an LC reference list which includes one or more reference images included in an L0 reference list and an L1 reference list based on the LC default number information(112). The video prediction encoding device performs the prediction encoding of the image by using the determined LC reference list(113). PURPOSE: A video encoding method for parallel processing, an apparatus for the same, a video decoding method thereof and an apparatus for the video decoding method are provided to express whether multiple parallel processing types for parallel processing of video data are used or not through a unified syntax. CONSTITUTION: A parallel processing information output unit (1520) encodes parallel processing syntax information which represents a parallel processing type applied to a second data unit in a first data unit header. The first data unit header includes encoding information of a first data unit. The parallel processing information output unit encodes a parallel processing flag which represents whether the parallel processing type indicated by a parallel processing syntax is applied to the second data unit in a second data unit header. PURPOSE: A method for encoding a depth map of multiview video data, a device thereof, a decoding method thereof, and a device thereof are provided to efficiently compress the multiview video data having mass data by predicting a depth map frame corresponding to a multiview color video frame. PURPOSE: An image encoding method and a device thereof, a decoding method and the device thereof using adaptive filtering are provided to perform prediction encoding based on a filtered reference frame and transmit a part of information of an applied filter, thereby increasing compression efficiency of an image. CONSTITUTION: A filtering unit(120) determines a filter applied for a reference frame and filters the reference frame through the determined filter by changing a size of the filter applied for the reference frame used for prediction encoding of an encoded current block and a filter coefficient of the filter.
