Abstract: PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to improve the cooling and heating efficiency and effectively control direction of discharged air by controlling a rotation angle of a back current preventing member. CONSTITUTION: A main body(10) has a suction port(1) and a discharge port(2). A heat exchanger is installed inside the main body to exchange heat of air flowed through the suction port. Ventilating fans(50) are installed inside the main body to send the air passing through the heat exchanger to the discharge port. A back current preventing member(80) is formed at the discharge port to prevent air from flowing backward to the suction port. The back current preventing member is formed at one end of the discharge port adjacent to the suction port, extending to the outside of the discharge port.
