Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a content key and an apparatus therefore is provided to transmit a content key by using discard information and a key block smaller than a conventional device. CONSTITUTION: In a method for transmitting a content key and an apparatus therefore, an identifiers, whole number, discard information of a discard node groups are generated(510). The identifiers of discard node groups are composed of only a node which is deposed in a layer structure. A single discard nodes is composed of the discard node which is not included in the discard node group. The discard information includes the identifiers of single discard nodes. A content is encrypted by an encryption key combination and encrypted content key combination is generated(520). An encryption key combination is not generation since the decryption key combination is used.

Abstract: A method and a system for transmitting contents between devices are provided to improve the security and correctness in an updating process of license information by performing a contents transmission determination at the host device. A system for transmitting contents between devices includes a memory unit(110), an interface(120), a control unit(140), a processor(130), and an encryption unit(150). The memory unit stores encrypted contents and license information. The interface transmits the license information corresponding to the encrypted contents to an external device in a connection state with the external device. The control unit transmits the encrypted contents to the external device if a transmission request of the encrypted contents is received from the external device. The processor performs the update of the license information. The encryption unit encrypts the license information with a sharing key generated by an authentication key exchange method with the external device.

Abstract: A method for encoding and decoding a content file is provided to strengthen security and increase encoding/decoding speed in a DRM(Digital Rights Management) system by encoding and decoding a DRM content file after dividing the DRM content file into a plurality of data blocks. An encoded content file is divided into a plurality of data blocks(S10). The data blocks are grouped into a plurality of groups according to preset group sizes(S20). A plurality of group content keys corresponding to the groups are generated(S30). Abstract: A method for decoding contents with a DRM(Digital Rights Management) card is provided to enable a user to use various contents irrespective of a DRM system set to the contents by installing various kinds of DRM software in the DRM card, prevent hacking by upgrading the DRM software conveniently, and realize mass production and reduce a manufacturing cost by installing no DRM software to a host device. Abstract: A method and a device for inserting asymmetrical codes into contents are provided to prevent illegal contents distribution and repudiation of illegal activity of illegal distributors by inserting the asymmetrical code into the contents. An encryptor(202) provides a plurality of algorithms including a data encoding algorithm and an electronic signature verifying algorithm.
