Abstract: An apparatus and a method for distributing radio resources in a multi-hop relay broadband wireless access communication system are provided to increase the transmission efficiency without a waste of resources of an overall system by evenly distributing radio resources to relay stations that re-use frequency resources by using two types of schedulers. A priority level of each transmission packet is determined so that channels can be evenly allocated to relay stations that use the same radio resources by using an inter-scheduling and intra-scheduling. The number of sub-channels required for transmitting packets is determined according to each priority level, and a temporary frame is generated to determine the number of sub-channels to be allocated to the relay stations that use the same radio resources. Packets included in the generated temporary frame are divided by link and allocated by sub-channel.

Abstract: A scheduling method in a communication system using plural channels and a device thereof are provided to perform scheduling correspondingly to CQI(Channel Quality Information) of channels which change according to time and CQI of MSs(Mobile Stations), thereby improving system performance. M queues(311-1~311-M) store data targeting on each of M receivers serviced by a transmitter. A scheduler(313) allocates receivers for receiving the data through each of B channels among the M receivers according to a scheduling method preset at a scheduling time. The scheduling method refers to a proportional fairness scheduling method.
