Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of circadian clock related diseases containing a 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative controls a function of CRY1/2 and promotes the activity of CLOCK:BMAL1 dimer for effectively controlling circadian clock molecule network damaged by genetic or environmental causes, and the composition containing the 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient can be usefully applied to the prevention or treatment of circadian clock related diseases including sleep disorder, metabolic disorder, mood disorder, and cancer.
