Abstract: PURPOSE: A power-saving current measurement and a power converter using the same are provided to prevent power consumption and to increase measurement efficiency by using a sensing resistor for a necessary time only. CONSTITUTION: A power-saving current measurement(100) includes a sensing resistor(110), a switch(120), a control unit(130), a current measurement unit(140) and a timing setup unit(150). The sensing resistor connects its one end with a ground power supply. The switch is connected to the sensing resistor. The control unit controls on/off operation of the switch by synchronizing with current measurement timing. The control unit controls current to bypass the sensing resistor to the switch when the switch is in on operation and controls current to flow the sensing resistor when the switch is in off operation. Abstract: The present invention relates to a high step-up converter. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides a high step-up converter comprising: a power supply unit including a magnetization inductor which transfers a voltage from direct current power in response to an operation of a transistor connected to a primary side wire; a first diode in which an anode is connected to a tap formed between a second terminal of the primary side wire and a first terminal of a secondary side wire; a first capacitor in which the first terminal is connected to a cathode of the first diode and a second terminal is connected to the second terminal of the secondary side wire; a second diode in which the cathode is connected to the first terminal of the primary side wire and the anode is connected to an earth power source; and a second capacitor in which the first terminal is connected to the second terminal of the secondary side wire and the second terminal is connected to the earth power source. According to the high step-up converter, a converter which can output a high voltage of high step-up by applying a charge pump and a tap addition type transformer and has high efficiency is provided. Also, the present invention is economical in terms of costs as it uses one single switch on a primary side of the converter. The present invention can highly boost the voltage with a low turn ratio and can be applied to various technologies such as solar energy generation etc.
