Abstract: An Express card-typed flash memory storage is provided to facilitate attachment and detachment, prevent the memory storage from getting out of a notebook computer or a PC, realize a fast transfer rate, and install an OS(Operating System) as well as storing data. An interface connector uses an Express card type connector(10), and supplies power and interchanges data with a notebook computer, a PC, or other devices. A controller(120) receives an interface connected to the interface connector, and performs connection with the notebook computer, the PC, or other devices, controls more than one flash memory(131) of a flash memory unit(130), and interchanges the data with the flash memory. The flash memory unit communicates the data with the controller, and includes more than one flash memory. The controller includes an Express interface(121) including a USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface(121a) and a PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) interface(121b), a CPU(122), a flash memory controller(123), and a ROM(124). The controller enables the Express interface to recognize an ATA(Advanced Technology Attachment) type command to emulate an Express card-type flash memory storage like an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) regardless of an OS type.
